😂 Love this review of Fourth Wing! I was very late to the party and just finished it but agree with so much of this. Lots didn’t make sense, but it was a good time.

Well done for making this video! It really is an isolating experience so I hope this gives people an understanding at how hard this process is. I’m from the UK and married a Canadian and we decided to move to Canada. We had a pretty easy case and a lawyer and it was still easily the most stressful period of my life. I hope the best for you and your partner.

The Midnight Library is one of the more polarizing reads on this list. It’s very much character driven, not plot driven, but its /so/ good. That book stayed with me
@justmaddiereading Жыл бұрын
Polarizing books are so fun though. I'm sure I'll end up picking it up sometime just to see which of the poles I end up on.

a good girl's guide to murder is actually so worth it! the series is finished and the main character (pip/pippa) works on a different case in each book, so you could theoretically easily stop after the first one
I gave your video a shot bec the other reviews didnt look engaging but youre hilarious. Thanks !

This book was fun. And it had every cliche known to man. Like, every single one. And the slang and the cussing totally brought me out of the story. I gave it 3 stars because, like you said, it was fun. I personally don't understand the super hype for it, though. The one thing I did like was the fact that Violet has EDS, because my son's girlfriend has it and it was just sort of cool to see it represented (even if it's not named.) Your opening was killer.

What really just ticked me off with the entitlement of this girl she really thinks that her and her followers are the reason people know about hockey and specifically the kracken when I can pretty much guarantee you not even one percent of the people in the stands are from booktok.
@wildcatghoulette1822 Жыл бұрын
There are people insinuating Kierra was paid by the Kraken. I won't believe that until I see the receipts or contract. But to say they were made popular by Booktok is ridiculous as they are a part of a sports institution that's been around for 100 years. Should the SM team have gone that far w/ her? No, you don't break that 4th wall. But Kierra's been this way with other artists/athletes... they should have dug a little deeper on who they were interacting with.
@justmaddiereading Жыл бұрын
Yeah, agreed. I doubt she was paid directly. I'm sure her travel and ticket and merch were comped for the game she went to, but it doesn't make sense for them to pay her to make more thirsty Kraken content since she was getting high engagement from it anyway. That was enough incentive to keep doing it on her own. I'm definitely disappointed in their social team, too.

I'm compiling a list of dragon books to read in 2024 (Chinese year of the dragon), and I've been debating whether to add this one to the list or not because I generally try to avoid YA and I've heard so many mixed reviews. It's definitely a polarizing one.
@justmaddiereading Жыл бұрын
Ooh that's such a cool idea! What other dragon books are on your list? (I also clearly love dragons.)
@OnefortheBooks Жыл бұрын
@@justmaddiereading sooo many. I have no idea if I'll get to all of them. A lot of them are the start of a series, so it's a lot more than it looks like. 😅 -The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons -The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter -The Bone Ships by RJ Baker -Fireborne by Rosaria Munda -Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb -His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik -Dragon Wing by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman (this one is older, but supposed to be a classic) -Of Blood and Fire by Ryan Cahill -Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne -Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon -Guards, Guards! by Terry Pratchett -When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill -Miss Percy's Pocket Guide to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons by Quenby Olson -Dragon Mage by M.L. Spencer Other ones that I've either already read or am not planning to read anytime soon: -The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien -A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin -The Dragon Riders of Pern by Anne McCaffery -A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan -The Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Leguin -Eragon by Christopher Paolini Sooooo....yeah. Kudos if you made it to the bottom of the comment. 🤣

-Rhysand's last name and family names are being kept from us for a reason......I suspect we will find out very soon why. There's a character in Crescent City that looks exactly like him. ( The same thing with Mor and her name. Her title is The Morrigan it's not her name, I want to know her name so badly) Mor and Rhys are cousins as well. I think he's hiding his family names from other characters with his Damaeti powers -I don't trust Rhysand honestly, if he wanted to change stuff, he would. - As for the quote about the stars ... your answers lie in Crescent City.... you'll understand everything. It's way more than superficial I promise 🤣 I also love to cross stitch so this was lovely❤️

My sister-in-law was selling a vitamin shake thing in an MLM business. When my father got cancer and we were told he had only months to live, she told me that there was research that PROVED that her shake thing has cured some cancer and that not buying it for my father meant I did not love him or harbored some ill will towards him and was wishing for his death. True story. Also, I do think your funny. What do I want for saying that? I don't know. You could say hi? You could just come out with more videos. Whatever works for you.
