In Greek or the Roman empire, old Egipt, etc., there wasn't anti gay sentiment. There was almost no distinction. You liked what you liked and that's it. And that was thousands of years ago. In some old religions that may appear the other way around, but in general, anti homosexual sentiment wasn't so wide spread as nowadays in ancient cultures. It was actually pretty rare.
