Being an 80's kid myself, I really loved this episode! Thank you so much Suzanne and Dan. I have a vintage resale shop online and love listening to your podcast, Suzanne. I learn so much every time I do. Airplane came out the Summer I turned 15. I saw it in the theater 3 times that week with my friends. We never laughed so hard! One of my best memory of being an 80's teenager.

My 2 sons loved to watch the Dukes of Hazzard when they were little- nothing to do with the Rebel flag, everything to do with the car races, chases and funny capers. My oldest son got a dog and named it Luke (a takeoff of his favorite basketball team Duke) then also got a gorgeous dog with a blue eye and a brown eye and named him Bo, and his brother just got a female rescue dog and named her Daisy to complete the family.

Like you, I'm always happy for any sale! I'm sad our Goodwill bins were destroyed by tornadoes here in Arkansas:( I'm trying to figure out where to go for items. We do have other thrift stores but are overpriced mostly. I find a couple of items but hardly worth the gas. Your rattlesnake is exactly like the one my grandson just got from Arizona. He loves it. TFS Debbie

Wow, what a challenging life and what a positive attitude. I'm so glad that they have eBay to help them. For people that don't believe your attitude matters in life, they could take a lesson from this pair.

Enjoy all your videos! Suzanne, do you use promoted listings, and if so, what’s your advice?

I use promoted on listings that have a lot of competition. Not on unique items

I can 100% relate, having left my healthcare career of 35 years to care for my mom with cognitive impairment who could need me at a moments notice. Ebay has been a blessing. I do work like crazy when i can because I never know when I will be called away for a time to help mom. Great podcast!

Caregivers are at a higher risk of dying than the people they are caring for. If you are a caregiver, take time for your self-care.

how do you know it went to Canada? Since new system of eBay shipping through internationally, how would we learn the destination country?
@SuzanneAWells14 күн бұрын
The eBay USER ID was based in Canada. You can see that on each eBay user's feedback page - the country they are in.

@@SuzanneAWells Ah, thanks for that tip;. I looked at a recent sale going through the system and see that mine is going to Canada, too. Always interesting.

I’ve also blocked buyers who offer those annoying low offers. I’ll always counter but after 3-4 low offers I’m done! Also the buyers with the message of “ I’m a single Mom…” type message. No! Sorry not sorry. Go to Goodwill or garage sales like I do. 🤷🏻♀️

My late nan had a mug with this cat on. It was called "Chef Cat". *No idea* till today it was based on a newspaper strip. PS: The mug is long gone (she must have gave it away herself before she died because I do not remember collecting it from her flat when she passed).
