I've seen this car on the MotorShow and it was totally awesome..... Only thing i didn't understood is why the builder didn't had used stainless steel bolts under the hood....🤷🏽🤔

This isn't the DMC 12, this is the Manta Marage (VW under pinnings with VW engine) used in the first season. The DMC 12 version used in the second season was taller to accommodate the the actor who played McCormick.

This is the season one car. Highly modified Manta montage on a vw chassis. Seasons 2 and 3 were the DeLorean based cars.

Love that car. Whoever made the video needs to know that it's not made by Maserati, and that car is definitely not one of the DMC 12's. This is one of the first season cars which is a fiberglass body on a Volkswagen bug chassis. The engines were souped up to about 1835 CC. There are all sorts of telltale signs and body differences

I *THINK* this car is based on a McLaren chassis from their first ever road car of late the 60s that never went in to full production.. they only made about half a dozen (Bruce McLaren himself and couple of the other founders/bigwigs had them), and the engine is actually tuned to make a 120+ Hp.... in a car that weighs a buck o'five, so it is actually a pretty fast machine.... but I am not sure it is Maserati... and I think that the DMC-12 based cars look slightly different, this looks like the SE1 car.... McLaren derived chassis, Volkswagen engine.

Definitely not a DMC-12 car. This is a first season Coyote with the VW engine. The DMC-12 cars were used in the second and third season Coyotes.
