Those were great cars. My uncle used to have a ‘67. It was white with the wood trim on the sides. Beautiful car.

Very nice with the economy size motor. I've only driven a Galaxy sedan with as far as I remember a 390 and that was a bit slow.
@MrMotorama4 күн бұрын
ive been using it quite a lot, its great to drive and good on gas, ive had a 390 67 wagon before and that went well

In Canada, Ford Canada had a Meteor Division which was across between a Ford and a Mercury, just like Canadian Pontiacs were basiclly Chevrolets.

When I was a 2 my dad bought my mother a 4 door 54 Lincoln Capri. She drove the car until our family surpassed 5 kids, so it was traded for a new 1959 9 passenger Chevrolet wagon with rare AC.

I wouldn't know a Packard from a pack of pickeled peppers, I want a Clipper in my collection just for that ship's wheel on the grill.

A friend of mine in West Virginia owned one of these in Carmine Red and white two tone, named Deven Vance. The car had originally belonged to a U.S. State Senator of West Virginia when it was new. Deven began restoration work on it (mechanicals only) since the body and interior, and all the chrome work were all in like new condition, but he got bogged down rebuilding the engine, and decided to sell it a couple of years ago. I wonder where it went?

Those stylists had the most fun job in the world. Car companies don't even have stylists anymore (which is painfully obvious.)

Back when I was a teenager there was a '57 or '58 Colony Park wagon that was being junked,it had been a fully loaded car when new,power steering, brakes, windows and seats with an early version of a memory seat option, it had the same beautiful steering wheel as the one in this car which I liberated to put in my '61 Ford Falcon 😅😅😅😅😅😅

The spare tire doesn't go in the trunk. There is a removable panel outside, behind the rear right-side tire. You reach up underneath it to unlatch it, and that's where the spare goes.
@MrMotorama2 ай бұрын
i know this but because the car had been changed from 14 to 15 inch wheels the tyre was too big to fit in the space

That's not a 'car'. It's an automobile. I had an 2002 Alero and I put those hubcaps with spinners on it. It made the car pop, besides a few things I did under the hood. I wish Olds was still here. Lucky you!

Oh yeah, in 58 GM slathered all the chrome and jet age doo-dads you might ever wish for. Underneath the metal body is a car. Oh wait, that was visible in the cheap-o base models. Thanks for the tour. The colors are very elegant. Go low and go slow. 👍🏼
