Until we address the real cause for the Ethnic Tension, there can never be true peace. Twenty four years later and we have not done much to fix the problems.

Very informative! I study the conditions of indigenous people all over the world. May all reach a place peaceful enough....to pass on a vision worthy of living to the future generations!

The root cause of our differences goes back to heathern days.Back then we were living in our tribal groupings. The tribe next door is your potential enemy. This mentality has been ingrained in our minds even thou Christinity and government have come on. It will take many more years and new educated elightened Solomon Islanders who take on the Christian faith seriously, having Christ as Savour and Lord of one's life to have an inner transformation o f attitude and genuine love for one another.

Sir Kemakesa got it right. There is no fair distribution of government services and economic development in Solomon Islands.

When Solomon Islands economy was heading in the right direction for the first time in History, then Australia allow it or cause to allow this to go on to wipe out the economy to enable them to intervene

Now those children born during the tension now in their 20. Can we look back and see the future. I am certain that we still need to develop a better economy, life still hard. We need better decision with visionary leader. Allen Kemakesa and Ruth state that Young poeple need to raise up and make better future. Does we have better future now after this tension (ethic crisis). Let's work together for better future. SI😅

It's sad to see that 20 years later, current politicians haven't learnt anything from this terrible era of Solomon Islands history and seem to use the economic woes of the country to advance their own agendas. A fine cause of that was the '2021 November Riots'.

Nicholas Coppel, well spell out how to address any uprising in Solomon Islands. See years after this riot another came up in 2021.SI Leaders and future leaders need to learn from history incidents.

There is really no true peace after the Ethnic tension. Solomon Islanders pretend there is peace now but the truth is the situation is far worse now than before the tension.

Not long in the future the exist of RAMSI will take its course. the issue at stake is what can the Solomon Islands government in its action plan and policies implement to continue with what RAMSI will leave behind...the other aspect is the link between the central and provincial governments. this gap needs to be closed so that the issues of the nation are dealt with in all levels....
