I liked it, and I’m loving the new lore getting added. I’m not sure why people are surprised about the Jedi hiding stuff from each other when one of the big parts of the prequels was them lying to the Senate about their ability to use the force being diminished. Also, we still don’t know if that’s a Sith or not, right? If Mundi knows and lies, that’s not really changing the Jedi we see in the prequels. I just rewatched the prequels and the Jedi are kinda pricks 😅

That’s an excellent point, we don’t know if it’s a Sith or not. As well this show is doing a good job at illustrating that the Jedi aren’t the greatest, which is leading to their fall in the prequels

Just my thoughts, but I think they definitely pushed the pro-queer marketing a lot and I think they are doing that to reach out to new audiences. Corporations gonna do corporation stuff, especially in Pride month I actually liked the mystery being more about what happened on Brendock rather than on who the Jedi killer is, just because it seems like there was a lot of indication that Mae had a twin in the promo for the show and the stakes are higher if the Jedi Order as an entity is in peril rather than individual peril for their knights, which probably happens all the time. Definitely seems like some pretty high stakes if Torbin would rather take the barash vow and then kill himself rather than confront the consequences or come clean. Edit: okayy just finished the episode and yeah you basically said it all haha

I had all the same feelings after watching. Just a classic Disney tv show, rushed and no effort to improve quality or tell a great story. Just puking out shows as fast as possible. Not sure they will ever figure it out tho. Mandalorian wasn't much better than this but got hype for baby yoda. ObiWan and Ahsoka only did okayish because the character already existed and are loved by fans. So much creative and talent potential at disney but the heads of departments are missing the mark and wont make the necessary changes. It's depressing for fans of several series and just hurts the entire film industry as a whole.

Dear God a genius has to explain to a bunch of mediocre intelligent people how both things are true. Here it goes again. Okay so the anger when a person is angry and you know precisely what is triggering their anger you can manipulate them you can control them that makes them predictable. As long as you control their emotions with anger you can manipulate the fight to go anywhere you want it to. Because angry people do not think with rational thoughts and they don't think about the consequences of their actions. Angry people only think with blind rage and that makes them weak and vulnerable. Make it sloppy they get reckless they get off balance and you can easily defeat them. Holding back is just as dangerous. Ever hear the expression in chess, "Think long, think wrong"? Studying your next move. The longer you take the easier it's going to be to predict the person's actions. You can almost sort of see their thoughts as they either sit there at the chess table or stand there in battle trying to decide what to do next. You can almost see them attempting certain things are beginning to attempt certain things and then maybe not doing it at all maybe second-guessing it. And after they finally decide on an actual course of action it's usually after discarding a bunch of other ones. So it's the power of deduction. Like counting cards are predicting your opponents hand in cards, you can kind of sort of figure out what cards are in their hand based on what cards you have, based on what cards your partner has, based on what cards have already been played, you narrow it down. Eliminate all the fucking possibilities that don't fit, can you find the course of action they're going to take next. Of course it also helps if you're a Jedi or a sith or some other for sensitive who can also read minds and emotions. So they end up knowing what you're thinking and feeling and can predict your actions with even greater accuracy.

Both are true just for opposite reasons. Anger makes you less clear headed, resorting in aggression overtaking technique. A pattern forms making you more predictable. Holding back implies hesitation and overthinking. When you overthink, your movements become slower, dulled by caution. You become predictable.

The Empire knows that Pabu exists/where it is, but they have no reason to go there. There has been one strike at the planet to look for a person nobody knows has escaped, and everybody who knew the Bat Batch, Omega, their significance or their connection to Pabu is either dead or defected. Because the TK-Troopers sure as hell don't know why they went there except to capture someone. And all records on Tantiss were destroyed as well, so the only remnants of this attack is probably just a data entry in some big data center that that Venator was sent to Pabu by Hemlock, without any explanation. So it's pretty unlikely that anyone ever follows up on that.

It's actually a really realistic thing if so. Hemlock's group knew about the place, and probably had records of it's position and importance, but considering how prevalent poor communication is in larger organisations, it's very likely it didn't propagate out if his group, at least not with anyone knowing about it's importance. If we consider that the Empire recently restructured as well, it makes it even more realistic.

A combination of imperial ineptitude and internal secrecy. The Empire wasn't truly operating in a homogeneous sense. The Moffs and petty officers all vied for control. Their internal info sharing only got intensive when either the Alliance organized in an area or a higher up arrived. Hemlock was doing something that the Emperor was 50/50 on and didn't want a still operating Senate to get its eyes on it. When he died, it died with him, and probably the mountain got leveled by a Star Destroyer. All reports surviving would be buried or destroyed.

@@AlexisVR2K77 Has it been inconsistent? All 6 Lucas films are consistent, the only "issues" coming from characters lying (and admitting it later), and with only a few teething issues Legends was consistent by the time it was thrown out by Disney. Minor issues persisted, yes, but for the most part follow the rule of Movie>book>comic>game and you're fine. For Disney Canon it has been only half consistent, with the issue coming from movies being made by people who didn't consume any other Star Wars Media, but up until 2019ish there weren't any other contradictions beyond that. When Filoni took over, however, nearly every new piece of Star Wars media in some way includes a retcon. So the only issues have been either post 2019 or due to Disney Movies.

@@wyatttyson7737 The introduction of the midichlorians in Phantom Menace was already a retcon from how the force was perceived in the OG Trilogy, was it the most egregious thing in existence that a lot of people moan about? Not really, but it was a change and retcon and even Lucas regretted that scene later on. Yes, Star Wars was inconsistent, does that makes it as bad as it has gotten now? No. It was entertaining, inspiring and captivating, but not consistent. I'll continue to love it, though I wish they would make it better instead of worse.

@@AlexisVR2K77 Yeah, just because we had a name for the specific genetic component that leads to someone being Force Sensitive doesn't mean there wasn't always a genetic component. Its implied as early as A New Hope and basically outright confirmed by Return of the Jedi that something genetic. Phantom Menace just gave us the specifics of how that worked. And people *DID* moan about Midichlorians. In fact, next to Jar Jar its still the number 1 thing the "Lucas Raped My Childhood" crowd complains about. People seriously lost their minds about it. Fuckin Tourists, man. Should have just started with "my first Star Wars was Force Awakens" or something like that. The hate that Phantom Menace got for Midichlorians is a big part of the reason the term "Fandom Menace" is a term. Its like universally known to Star Wars fans. It wasn't a change, it wasn't a retcon, and it *was hated.*

Qui Gon actually took the decision during his "meditation" to let himself die at the hand of Darth Maul, for a purpose: His entire character build speaks of defense, caution, wisdom, and looking at the bigger picture. If you look at the fight against Maul, Qui Gon actually has the upper hand the whole length of it while Maul flees. Then, Qui Gon decided to seize this opportunity of a with lord appearance to make a bold move. He sacrificed himself for he believed in Anakin. The Jedi council forbid him from taking an other apprentice, and he knew better they would have never accepted to train Anakin. By letting Maul kill him, he gets to ask Obi Wan as a final wish, to get Anakin trained. Obi Wan would have not challenged the council decision in an other way. And the council could not oppose Obi Wan decision without risking a schism in its establishment. Qui Gon rushing to Maul without waiting for Obi Wan makes zero sense character wise Qui Gon sacrificing himself for a greater purpose also lead him to be the first force ghost in ages
