Andrea Bargnani is ranked as 2nd best in INTERIOR DEFENSE, people. Number 1 is Larry Sanders You can look up the stats yourself. Sanders's OPP rating is 34.9%, while Bargnani is 35.2%, I believe. Take a look at the 1:58 mark, the 2:34 mark, the 3:25 mark, ESPECIALLY the 4:10 mark, the 4:53 mark, and the 5:07 mark (which although was a foul shows Bargnani's heart and determination to defend the paint). This is Dwight Howard (the man who is referred to as the best big man in the game) he is defending inside, people. 1. Bargnani can post up. 2. He can also shoot from anywhere. 3. He can create his own shot. 4. He can drive into the paint as he is the only 7 footer I have seen to catch the ball from behind the 3 point line at the top of the key and drive all the way into the paint for a dunk. 5. Because he can shoot from anywhere he forces his defender to leave the paint, thus leaving the paint wide open for 2 points inside. 6. He is also not afraid to use his body, as his interior defense proves. He has heart. In other words, Andrea Bargnani is not a punk!

+Mr21Daytime The problem was never his ability but his motor. He averaged 21 back in 2011 but his most motivated year was in 2010 where he also got a block and a half a game along with 17 ppg with his "career high" 6 rpg.. Dwight Howard is the best balanced overall big man. Not the best offensive one. I highly doubt anyone with legitimate post moves and footwork like a Cousins would be limited to below 40% in the post.

Bargs gets a bad wrap. Yeah, hes not your typical 1st overall pick who turns into a star, but hes a very quality NBA player and has a useful skill set. Hes not a terrible rebounder either, especially for a outside shooting center type.. Hes fun to watch when hes on.
@Mr21Daytime10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I agree. people really need to stop regurgitating the disdain for him when he was in Toronto. He is not with Toronto any more. Him being the number 1 guy on the team was/is probably something he is not comfortable with, but I do see him more of a 2nd or 3rd scoring option on he floor, which he is probably more comfortable with. You are also correct about his rebounding as I thought his rebounding numbers were increasing as the season progressed. I do like his game. I think I see why he is nicknamed the Magician, because although he appears to move slowly he somehow seems to stun or trance his defender when he moves with the ball, thus causing him to score.

+Sirad Hanad Nah at least he averaged 21 a game before. If anything he's just an underachiever especially at number 1 overall. Can't believe Tdot passed up Aldridge...
@springtime10099 жыл бұрын
Jason Lee 21 points in one season... where the raptors went 21-61 that season. Andrea is a scoring big who has no defense he is a hot streaking scorer, when his hot his good but when his cold he doesn't give you anything else. His underachieve because he literally hasn't improved anything in his game from 07 till now.

I'm seriously thinking that if he continues to put up 20+ points and over 7 boards - and we start winning games - he should be considered for an All-star nod. As starting center he's averaging 17 and 6.
