CGC have always been the #1 grading company for Comics, Coins and Pokemon. They are doing what I think will make them the #1 company in Sports as well within 5-7 years. For one the slabs are the same size as PSA...SGC are huge and clunky. So they will integrate easily into most collectors (who have PSA slabs) slab cases. The labels do kinda look like SGC but SGC look like they were printed on my home computer printer LOL. CGC have a quality label, not cheap looking. CGC has taken the best of what people like about Beckett...the half grades for example. They offer a 9.5 like Beckett and SGC...PSA does not and people have voiced that they wish they did. They eliminated the sub grades which PSA and SGC buyers do not want. They offer not only a 10 but a Pristine 10 gold label...the Beckett Pristine 10 still outsells PSA 10's. Currently PSA 9, SGC 10 and CGC 10 all hold about the same resale, but Pristine 10 CGC are selling higher than PSA 10 and Beckett Pristine 10 sells for the most. So to recap. All the Attributes PSA collectors like, same size holder and no subgrades. All the Attributes Beckett buyers like, half grades including 9.5 and a Pristine 10 chance. A clean black label like SGC (Tuxedo time!) but it actually looks quality and not like something that can be faked. And already in just a little over 2 years of grading they have the #2 highest selling label in a Pristine 10 over PSA 10. This is why they are already #1 in all 3 other major collecting categories for decades. I am not a grader...just a collector. But I submitted 40 cards to CGC when they very first started accepting sports cards. At the time they were still putting the subgrades on the labels. I inspected each with a 50x lens. I made detailed notes on each card about surface, corners, edges and and centering. I was brutally honest about each condition in the notes, no "hoping the grader had a good day". Just pure brutal critique on each card. Of the 40 cards I sent I was exactly right on 37 of the 40 on overall grades and each subgrade...insanely accurate. The other 3, I was .5 off on 1 of the 4 sub grades. My point of including this grading experience with that order was not to say I am a grader or as good as a grader...It is to illustrate how consistent the order was to my really brutal critique of each card. I was left KNOWING this company gives HONEST grades. No PSA buddy deals or POP control BS. Just grading the card for what the card is. I believe for the reasons I outlined CGC will take over sports within 10 years and be the #1 in all 4 major hobbies. Comics, Coins, Pokemon and Sports. I am 52 and have been collecting since I was 16. I remember when Beckett was #1 and bullet proof. PSA took them over...They all of them now have a company who is used to being #1 after them and doing all the best things they do combined. I am slabbing all my stuff with CGC.

Always wonder how they say min size when all 4 sides show perforation edges. It's not like they cut them off to try for razor sharp edges. Nice reveal with cool variety!

Mike I do all my stuff in cgc .to me they are better than psa .i price them the same.only reason people don’t is cause the collectors who have been grading all there cards for the last 30 years with psa say so..screw them psa is in 4th to me anymore

I get what you mean by holding off on some things. I’ve never owned a superfractor and two Nola supers just hit eBay but both are probably more than I’d want to spend. Tempting though
