Why u cut the video after remove the nail? I want to know how u cut the leather 😢

*@anolpatil8777 It's still handmade even when using a sewing machine. It's very common to use one. Lots of boot companies use sewing machines. It's completely ok, and the end result is awesome!*

Amazing video, so much to learn from this. Especially awesome because you get a nice shape without wet molding or using a crimping board, thanks so much for this!

Hi, is there anyway to waterproof the seam and stitch line on leather? also are there any leather that are waterproof from the tanning process itself? not just from waxing beeswax mix with turpentine and pine oil? I have look up online quite a lot and only found La Bretagna, they claim to be Hydro Repel tanning but its actually veg tan. I've been learning to make boots and shoes that are weatherproof, so your videos are very educational, informative as you explain the process and very soothing.

Do we glue the sole? Where I can get the last. How thick is the leather used or what kind of leather?

I like to use isopropyl alcohol mixed with just 20% water for soaking the toe stiffener and heel counter it dries super hard and quickly too!

One trick I learned is to get the toe stiffener a little bit wet if you are using a thicker vegetable tan piece, and letting it dry in place. Great job with the pattern. Making it is a blast!

Nice hand control and a sharp Xacto blade. But you've left out the hard part - making the bespoke lasts. And your left and right quarter pieces are averaged so they are the same.
