On the combustion model it's different as the models ode/design is different! This spoiler is on all Electric models with the Sport trim!

This color combo in the JCW kit helps overcome a really unfinished looking exterior. In standard yellow the car looks like a blob of butter.

El diseño del J01 se define rápido: es la mezcla perfecta entre un Mini Cooper con la simplicidad y minimalismo de un Tela model 3 Highline. Y es precisamente hacia donde se dirige el diseño automovilístico, hacia el minimalismo, con lo que felicito a los ingenieros de diseño de Mini por esta reinterpretación del Mini Cooper para los tiempos actuales. Es un diseño espectacular, el problema que tiene es que el público no entiende la lógica que hay detrás del diseño, porque no la conocen. No todo el mundo es ingeniero de diseño para entenderlo. Personalmente deberías hacer una campaña de marketing para explicar la lógica del diseño para que el público lo acepte con facilidad, y pueda mejorar en ventas al F56 fácilmente. You declined to mention the price! Games console and internal camera. WTF Who are Mini targetting with this model? A Mini without a voice is not my idea of fun. I'll be keeping my JCW with a manual box and a deep voice.

The new MINI is targeted at those who want a whole new level of MINI fun on their adventures, whilst enjoying the benefits of fully-electric driving. Although this is a fully-electric MINI, it is still a pure bundle of fun to drive! The Games Console makes it even more entertaining during charge stops. Its all a bit underwhelming honestly... we currently use a hyundai ioniq 5 awd and it just seems like with the mini they are playing catch up to the koreans that unbelievably seem to be leading the way in this segment at least while they are all playing catch up to tesla. Knowing how an electric car delivers its power im suprised mini are throwing the john cooper works badge on a car with this power and performance... perhaps its the size, admittedly the ioniq 5 and kia EV6 are clearly a tier up in size overall but i would be expecting a larger than 50kwh battery, slightly faster charging capability, a bit better performance to warrant that badge. Our ioniq is 320bhp 600nm torque, 0-60 in 5 secs with some achieving as low as 4.4, 77kwh battery. Should say our car was in the region of 10-15k more money in fairness to this and this does look like a nice EV as they go... just a bit sad to see the boat not really being pushed out yet by mini for a properly hot JCW EV. side note... i think this mini looks awesome, the side profile is epic. Thanks for the video, nice presentation. come on mini, if it costs a bit more so be it, would be nice to see them push it a bit to earn that badge.

The pod was a little compact and the car was slightly elevated! Although the MINI Countryman does feature higher suspension due to its more off-road utilitarian nature!

Hi Peter! That is the winter range of the current MINI Electric model. The new model features a more efficient drivetrain, and a larger battery. Therefore range is around 220-250 miles WLTP on the new model. WLTP is real world testing to ensure the quoted range figure is accurate.

People are hating on this new design but I think it looks much better than the F56, atleast the pre-LCI II models. They never looked quite right to me, this is more along the lines of the R53 and I love it for that!

Love the video and the new mini. I have an R53 (20years now as my everyday car) which I love it every day but it's time for something new and day to day I love that new design. I just love it. Even the rear lights starts grow on me day by day. I love lots of details in the new generation. Haters gonna hate as they do in EVERY new mini and when time pass they love what they hated. Is it possible to upgrade the front and rear bumper as well the rear spoiler to match the JCW style of a F56 1.5 petrol version?

Good question! The spoiler can be fitted, however the front bumper of the MINI Electric is designed to be as aerodynamic and electrically optimised as possible, therefore we recommend leaving it as it is, as this could affect both range and battery cooling!

@@sycamore_mini Too late, I’ve already fitted the JCW front and rear bumper 😅 Just waiting for the inner plastic covers to block out airflow for the brake ducts. The cooler (lower grille) is covered with a stone guard grille. Not too worried about range, I swapped with a Peugeot e-208 which has 217 miles range. 50-100 miles is more than enough per day, charged overnight. I just cancelled the order for the track spoke 501 alloys to match the JCW look, as the current tentacle alloys look great. I love the confused faces when I’m out and about driving, they’re expecting pops and bangs from the exhaust 🤣 About that, I need to find a way to cover the empty exhaust space on the left side, or maybe stick on fake exhaust pipes.

Not from this China made Mini Cooper.The US model won’t be available in the US until they start production of the new Mini Cooper SE at the Oxford plant.The US trade tariffs on Chinese made cars don’t make economic sense for BMW to import them into the US.Thats why Chinese made Teslas don’t get imported into the US but they are starting to send some to Canada.No one in North America should be buying a Chinese made car.

The Cooper E and SE are available on the UK website with the Sport Trim which is the JCW parts seen in this video. The price of the Cooper SE with the full pack on is around £43,000.

@@mikebuchan4904 current delivery times may vary depending in spec, Mike! We may see them around March/April time as it stands. As for charging cost, we will say for example the bigger battery in the SE (54KwH) would cost on a 12p/KwH tariff at home, around £6.50 to charge. However some providers offer an even lower tariff!

The panoramic roof on this model is fixed! However it is larger than the current sunroof available on the F56 generation vehicles when opting for the Premium Plus pack!

@@sycamore_mini Shame it’s fixed as I always preferred to open the sunroof to let some air in than open the windows. This seems like big step in the wrong direction and making it bigger doesn’t do anything to compensate for the loss of the quasi open air experience. However it’s a very nice car otherwise.

@@enigmatwist6548 the new MINI family is absolutely gorgeous, even more so in the flesh. The panoramic roof does of course have the lighting effects in the side adding to cabin atmosphere. The fixed roof helps to keep higher positioned weight down and keep the vehicle quieter!

As with all the videos showing off the new mini. I can’t get over how big it is. Is he super short or is there like a foot of head room above his head. I have an F55 and this 3 door looks huge vs that. It’s like the car was scaled wrong. Proportions are right but size is wrong. Maybe if I see it in person it will not be too bad. But all the videos I have seen make it look huge. And huge is not something I want from a mini. I mean it’s in the name for craps sake. Otherwise I am down with all the changes to modernize or be different with the minimal styling. Not saying I like it all but I get it and why not try something and see how it plays out. That’s what I am down with, Mini going for it vs staying safe. At least in my view. So just the size I am concerned about really.

The pod with the vehicle inside was a mobile unit, therefore headroom was much lower! The New MINI Cooper Electric is merely a fraction larger than the current F56, however inside it feels the same size yet more 'MINI' due to things like the smaller steering wheel!

My Mini JCW had the Pro kit on it with the rear diffuser extension, spoiler lip and pro tuned exhaust and looked amazing. I had it for 4 years and had it 2 stage polished and a 5 year Gyeon ceramic coat. I loved that car but good things always come to an end and swapped it for an i-Pace so all electric for me but 4 wheel drive and 400ps makes up for it.

60% of UK households have off road parking. And there're depreciating because a) the market was flooded by cars coming off lease deals, b) because stupid people believe crap like they're expensive to charge when the opposite is true.
