Why, why, why do this version and not the official audio version or the clip from the movie Blue Hawaii??? This is NOT a good representation of how he sang it.

No other counter tenor better than Bobby Hatfield, a unique style, range, vocal control and to boot a handsome blue-eyed soul singer.

Hi Robert, my name is Donna and I saw a few of your reactions to Elvis and I felt I should subscribe. I’ve been an Elvis fan for 65 years and I had the honor of seeing him live in concert as a teenager many times. Looking back those are probably the best moments I can remember in a lifetime my son now a grown man is an Elvis fan and my little granddaughter. Six years old loves Elvis. he has always been my hero. I guess a little girl has her first love little did I know it would last my lifetime. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Elvis do bossa nova baby they have a remix which is an extended version of it. I hope you can get that on KZbin. It’s just a fun video and my grandbaby loves to dance to that song. Thank you for learning to appreciate Elvis and the genius that he was musically he didn’t sing his music. , He felt the music and took the feelings of his soul and let it touch mine. God bless and keep you safe. Keep the Elvis coming. You’ve got a watch her for sure. Take care friend.

Elvis loved his Gospel music. and the only one I've heard come close to this live performance is Carrie Underwood with Vince Gill.. Elvis could sing the dang phonebook back in the day and make it sound amazing. We don't have phonebooks anymore lol.. but I hope you understand the reference.

Elvis was born dirt poor in Tupelo, MS.. his daddy went to jail when he was 2 yrs old I think for writing bad checks.. His Mama and the church got them through those yrs till his Daddy came home.. That's why Elvis knew so much about the black community.... he grew up in it. Elvis was so much into respecting those that didn't have because he grew up not having.. This song is about little kids in Chicago, but it could be anywhere to this day that it happens.. that's the sad part.. it still happens today in 2024

This is called being A FUCKING REAL HUMAN. Man is out here learning other cultures, enjoying it and getting a following from it. Way to set a fucking proper example for everyone else fam, you remind me of how real Americans used to be before all the bullshit. We can all learn from each other and vibe out, the fact that you know this but our politicians don't is very sad. People talk about trump vs biden... the real Americans know to not vote for either of these clowns. I'd rather vote for this kid Robert than any of these fake ass politicians. We just need a good American that's young and authentic. The rest can all go to hell. I'd vote for someone like you over these old fucks all day brother.

Constantly interrupting this magnificent performance to pander for likes is not a good reaction. Please consider respecting the artist by not cutting into his singing.

Well this is the recorded version. So Eric's voice is a bit restrained. He cuts a bit more loose on the Live version on Ed Sullivan, though he is still holding it back a tad from his concert version.

A cautionary tale warning youths to stay on the "straight and narrow" or else suffer the negative consequences. Two theories that seem to apply to this performance have been provided in other reactors' videos: (1) the band's strolling around the set mimics the New Orleans tradition of funeral marches, replete with a band of some sort. (2) "My mother was a tailor" may be a euphemism for his mom being a prostitute, as some cities in the late 19th century, in their census records, list many women as seamstresses, like out of all proportion to the population and with respect to other cities. Now, as to the smiling guitarist: I think this was a two-part production: First, the vocals and music were done, as some reactors report, in one take in a sound studio; next, the stroll around on the stage was made later the same day, with the fellows lip synching! NOTE: there are no electrical cords from a wall outlet to the ELECTRIC GUITARS & ORGAN!!! Had there been cords, they'd have gotten tangled up around the posts of the gates on the set and around the organ. So, the smiling guitarist was probably thinking, "We're fooling a lot of people right now, and we're gonna make a lot of people wonder how the organ kept playing in the background with the drummer AND in the foreground at the end of the song." Just a funky observation of this grand old song! Thanks for grabbing it for a reaction vid!

cash was an addict. he shot drugs and took opiates and speed in pill form also. johnny was a rebel wayyy before it was hip or cool. he was rebellious as well as an iconic legend in his own time. he is in the rock and roll hall of fame, the country music hall of fame, and the rhythm and blues hall of fame. this was his very last time on film. this was his swan song, as he bid adieu to friends, and fans. this poignant farewell was completed and released shortly before his wife, june carter-cash, passed away. john followed closely behind her. he left us with a vast body of work. johnny cash is loved by millions of people worldwide, even up to this day.. although far from perfect, both himself and his wife, were devout Christians. this work, i believe, speaks of his regret over spending so much time and effort in a pursuit of temporal things and a heartfelt regret to his Maker for all his human frailties. this also speaks of the fact that in the end, all his awards and worldly wealth were useless to him. our Blessed Hope is that he may find, in Heaven, the joy and peace that he searched, so longingly for, here on this earth. may he find it in the arms of his Lord. thank you, brother for this little reminder of him. may the man in black live forever. may his music live forever. watching and diggin it. God bless you and yours. shoutout from just an old, longhaired rocker outta Gatlinburg, Tennessee. peace and love to you. see you on the next.

This is a vocal masterclass... Bobby Hatfield is arguably the greatest male vocalist of all time... He had it all, the looks, the voice, and effortlessly cool... Aspiring singers should watch this performance because there was no auto tuning, no cues, nothing but raw talent... Not even Elvis could sing like this... The only other person with a voice of an angel was Karen Carpenter.... Never will we hear vocals like this again. This is a fluke of nature that only ever happens once... Listening to this song is a privilege... PERFECTION 👌
