Rex Williams really didn’t like Higgins… his commentary was totally negative towards him.. as always

I'd forgotten how ref's used to periodically call out both player's scores. They didn't seem to call touching ball either. Because of his reputation, some people forget that Alex was a great safety player.
@royclive863920 күн бұрын
Alex was extremely articulate and intelligent. He could do the telegraph cryptic crossword in 30 minutes according to Jimmy.
@royclive863920 күн бұрын
He was spot on about 1982. Doing it the hard way in the Semi Final against Jimmy.

Ray showing the class act he was on a snooker table. My favorite player and one of the very best players of all time. Probably the first player in the game to adopt a double pause technique. Superb player and gentleman. Coached Ronnie O Sullivan in his later years and making a century at 91 has got to be a record. Sadly missed.

Ray had such a gift in talking: so clearly, at just the right pace and he'd pause before delivering the next lines. I don't think he ever said "errrrrr" like so many people interviewed. What a man. Not a bad snooker player either!

Lovely time to watch this great programme after the sad passing of Ray Reardon last week. 😢 Tel, stay sfrong mate. We're all thinking of you. ❤

Reardon was a superb player. He had an aura, an authority when at the table. He struck the ball so cleanly, his positional play and break building was top class. Also Ray was a great tactician and a lot of the players of the period learnt a lot from him in that regard. A terrific ambassador for the sport and helped to catapult himself and fellow pros like Higgins, Taylor, Spencer et al into superstar status. RIP to a legend of snooker. ❤
