The last book made me so depressed even as a kid. Everything else from memory is great. I should deff go back to them sometime.

I am a displaced Yemeni girl. My family and I rent our house for a month, 20 thousand Yemeni riyals, and now we owe 60 thousand for 3 months. The owner of the house is one of those people who have no mercy. By God, my brother, he comes every day and humiliates us and talks about us and wants to throw us out of the house and into the street because we were unable to pay him the rent. He does not leave until we cry and talk to the neighbors and give them a week. If we pay him, he swears by God that he will throw us out into the street without mercy. We are displaced from our country because of this war and we cannot find our daily sustenance. My mother and my young siblings are living. Our father passed away, may God have mercy on him. We have no one in this world to stand by us in these harsh circumstances. I do not have older brothers to stand with us in these circumstances. My young brothers, but I am a girl who cannot work. I swear to God that my brothers went out to the street and saw him and saw the neighbors. They stopped and stood at their door in order to give them even a piece of bread to satisfy their hunger. By God, who owns the heavens and the earth, they closed the door and threw them out and they came back crying and dying of hunger. By God, we do not find a single morsel of food to live on. Now, if one of us does not help us with a kilo of flour, I swear to God that we will die of hunger. Oh brother, I beseech God and then you, and I want you to help me for the sake of God. I ask you by God, you love goodness and help me even if you ask for my card name and send it and do not delay, and God will compensate you with all good. Oh brother, you are a man. If you see your family starving, it is impossible for you to secure their needs. But I am a girl with insight and my hands are short. I do not have a father like you, and my brothers are young. Look at their condition and help us and save us before they throw us out into the street to be humiliated or we die of hunger. I swear by God, who raised the seven heavens without pillars, spread out the earth and guided me. I will not lie to you with a word of this message, and I did not ask you except out of distress and the harshness of the circumstances and the state in which we are. My family and I ask you by God, if you are able, O people of goodness, whoever has the ability to help us, do not delay a moment. This is my WhatsApp number: 00967711500090. Whoever can help us, send me a message on WhatsApp. We will send him the full name and he will transfer us as much as he can. Salaam, I understand appreciating stories and character development, however isn't it true that as Muslims, we should still be avoiding advocating anything that isn't permissible (including to act on our desires outside of the limits Allah set us), whether that be same-gendered romantic relationships or romantic relationships outside of marriage? Exposing ourselves and our ummah to an an environment away from the pleasure of Allah swt can lead to normalising them in our minds. It's not that we should treat others differently just for choosing different lives, rather we should still give our good character to everyone whilst still being grounded in believing it's not something to support in our hearts and actions (just like in surah-tul-kaafiroon), due to our submission to Him. ❤

Mashallah, couldn’t have put it better myself! The only change I would make is the word romance. Allah (swt) has not made the feelings of attraction impermissible (regardless what u r attracted to), but simply acting on these feelings outside the confines He (swt) has recommended. So a romantic relationship may develop, but the second step of choosing what to do with it becomes the battle, and each individual has the right to choose how to fight it. As a lover of Allah (swt), this is how I’ve chosen to fight these battles: staying away from any triggers and having sabr and faith that Allah (swt) will keep me comfort. But others may choose differently, including other Muslims. And I have to accept that… I can disagree with what they choose to do, but I won’t distance myself from them for that choice as long as it does not negatively impact me Thanks for ur thoughts 🙏
@a49-n2o7 күн бұрын
@HijjiahtheHobbit Ah I see! I guess I grew up learning that the term romance includes the actions from your feelings of love and desire, not just the feelings themselves. Thanks for your response sis. 🙏🏼

From what I understand Allah is not trying to keep you from thinking certain stuff, it's part of the test, you have to choose not to act on it, but even if you do you can be forgiven under certain circumstances. I do have to say though that I also believe that certian content shouldn't be promoted.. Similar to other bad habits like smoking.. Basically it is completely or rather fine for you to do it in private, but I don't think that she should advertise it.. Basically I think that she is on the safe side watching this, as long as it isn't causing her actual temptation, but making a video about it might be causing others to be tempted sooo that isn't so good Funny thing about this..? I am not even religious, this is just how I understand Islam, am I correct?
@HijjiahtheHobbit6 күн бұрын
@ Spot on! I completely agree. Also the example you gave is quite interesting, because when a character smokes on screen nowadays, its associated with them being 'tough', 'cool' and 'bad' owing to the fact that the backlash on smoking has given it a reputation that only people who don't care about themselves or life, would do... or if they are a bad guy. So association is super important! Given my relationship with faith (through understanding myself), I don't have to worry about its temptation as you said, but others may (as you also very eloquently put), so I cannot recommend the show to everyone and have come up with an alternative to suit everyone.

You did such a good job with the background footage for this review. Using clips from Harry Potter, The Hobbit, and Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as the filler episodes of the Deltora Quest anime, was genius. Also, the concept of the Dome scared the crap out of me as a young teen. I remember thinking how awful it'd be to be in there all alone, with nothing but phantoms for company, having to delude yourself that they were real to keep the magic alive. Genuinely terrifying. Anyway, awesome video! I can't wait to see your analyses of future Deltora Quest content!

13:37 SHE'S A LEGEND, SHE'S AN ICON AND SHE IS THE MOMENT! (spoiler alert) Barda chose well! ❤ "Jasmine rose to the Shadow Lord’s bait, and so did I in turn, Lief thought. How easy it all was! How easily he lured us into this trap. Using our weaknesses. Jasmine’s loneliness and impatience. My love for Jasmine." (the "my love for Jasmine", I can't 🥹) "The slaves who were no longer slaves stared in wonder, gradually accepting the truth. Deltora had not abandoned them. They had never been forgotten. They were free. And it was their king who had brought them home." (what a king, truly worhty of his title!) The part at the very end when Lief and Jasmine are holding hands, after Lief said he would marry for love if the girl he loves will have him, and she said she will!!!! I LOVE THEM SM ❤❤❤ " 'When the time comes,' Lief said, determinedly drowning her out, 'I will follow Adin's example, and marry for love.' He glanced at her. 'If the woman I love will have me, of course.' 'She probably will,' said Jasmine. 'When the time comes.' She slipped her hand into his. " I have a question about the Belt not being used outside the borders cause I didn't really understand it when I was reading. So, does the Belt just not work and has no power there (and therefore it is unnecessary for Lief to carry it cause it would be useless) or is it dangerous for HIM specifically to wear it while he's there? I think I've read somewhere that it can kill its wearer outside the border (which is wild tbh 😅), but I'm not sure if that's true 🤷🏽♀️ Or mabye the Belt itself would get destroyed, without harming Lief?
@HijjiahtheHobbit27 күн бұрын
OMG, I love this soooo much 🥹 There are some beautiful in thought confessions in this book and Lindal (chef’s kiss 😘👌). With regards to the belt, I recall that it would burn up and kill the wearer if taken outside the Deltora border (like when Lief got swept out to sea in the Isle of the Dead). Which is a crazy weakness! (That and the belt only being able to be used by the line of Adin rather than any elected individual that unites the seven tribes). And just speculating here, maybe because the gems came from the land and are connected to it, when the are close to, but not in Deltora they warm to tell the wearer that they are “close”. Sort of like how the belt got hot when they approached each gem but isn’t hot when the gem is on the belt; close to the destination but not quite there. So maybe it is possible to transport the belt outside of Deltora in a fire proof way and when ur far enough put it back on (not sure it’ll work though given it’s purpose is to defend Deltora and not to be used as a weapon), but I’m not sure. Other than the Isle of the Dead I don’t think we get much info on it, unless it’s in one of the other series which I haven’t read yet

Different versions of the bible don’t change the stories of the books. It just has rewording of certain verses or different words used with the same meaning. You still get the same message from the bible no matter what translation you use
@HijjiahtheHobbitАй бұрын
Thanks for letting me know. I thought that was the case until I discussed it with a colleague once. Now I’m careful and specific with how I quote the bible so that I don’t confuse some people. I hope it didn’t offend you or anything

@HijjiahtheHobbitАй бұрын
There are a few differences, mostly to do with the tone of the story, not so much what events took place
@ultimatespidybawlz2198Ай бұрын
Even as a Christian myself. The movie is not completely accurate to the biblical account as Moses was adopted by pharohs daughter, not his wife. Moses also did not perform most of the miracles but his brother Aaron who spoke for Moses most of the time
@HijjiahtheHobbitАй бұрын
Yeah that’s what I understood too. Glad we’re on the same page
A drunkard who drinks to forget the shame of drinking has so much meaning behind it in itself. To be a slave to one's own addiction and using it to fight itself. Like being stuck in a limbo of his own construction. A vicious cycle created by himself to trap himself. I love how you worded that out. I just randomly discovered this channel and I love the content so far and I love your vibes! Only complaint about these EPs isn't the plot, it's more on the translations which are iffy to say the least compared to Toransubs' uploads. Idk it seems off to me when i looked at the ones by the person who did the previous 62 EPs subbed which the quality looked good and these look mid quality.

Get a grip, the story of Mose is lovely portrayed very respectfully so, you cant do the biblical story any favours, Because the story about Moses is from the bible the Torah = bible, Moses is really Tuthmoses the Hebreew pharao, and the truth is that the monoteism was put in place by Akhernaten That ruled later than Moses
@HijjiahtheHobbitАй бұрын
Thanks for sharing your opinion! Love how passionate you are about the film. As a Muslim, I can’t just look at the biblical text alone unfortunately and that’s why I wanted to share a Muslim’s view on the film. But I’m 100% sure that many Christians and Jews would agree with you and that’s totally cool. At the end we all connect with stories different and that’s the whole point of my channel ☺️

I love how you made the connection of the villains from both Coraline and Kubo wanting to take eyes/souls but how the characters handled things differently. Coraline had to completely reject the other mother for her safety, whereas Kubo welcomed his grandfather into his life and showed compassion. It shows two ways we can handle a threatening presence within the family. They’re also both gorgeous movies, and while Coraline now has a cult following, Kubo doesn’t seem to be as popular, which is a shame.
