apparently the tyre pressures in iracing are already set very high for gt3 cars, so cooling them reduces the pressures and makes them optimum

@@philsreef746 well the iracing tyre model is so bad that the grass and dirt does not stay on the tyre after getting on them, plus they are only using the grass when they are not braking or accelerating, so they have maximum grip of the road through the corners, then cool it down using the grass

Ah. So that explains why I was so confused why I’ve been 2s off I qually (vs 0.7 usually) but 0.7 again in the race. At least the braking ‘exploit’ was actually realistic (since this is exactly how you get heat in the tyres in prep for a real qually lap in a real car!)

The braking exploit was not realistic. You had to drive under 30km/h and weave like a madman.
