I tried this method with no luck. I slammed that thing with every last ounce of strength in my soul 20+ times... It was a 1st gen Sequoia CV but still....those tiny circlips were sent from hell to destroy me

Huh... I wonder if the Sequoia CV clips are beefier than old Toyota pickups, etc...? Or maybe I just got lucky?

When someone doesn't know how to off road or what "Driver" or "Passenger" means, you say, "Go that way" and watch them do what they want. These people weren't in our group and really had no idea what they were doing, obviously.

OMG!!! That doesn’t look like it had any LIFT to it at all... Why would u take a stock vehicle through terrain like that??? 😞👎🏾👎🏿🇳🇬🇺🇸

That's how my running boards looked when I took them off! I ended up in a boulder field out in Utah with only 1 way out. I got in and out stock, no locker, with no spotter.

If you off road, it's inevitable that you're going to get yourself in a bad situation where you're telling yourself, "Well that was stupid." I think we've all been there.

Mengel pass is pretty far from paved roads in both directions so he had little choice but to press on. It sounds worse than it probably was.

This is a bone stock 4Runner. Pretty good testament to how great these things are that it rolled right through that without any issues other than the cosmetic ones. This thing doesn't even have all terrain tires on it.

Ya, 4Runners are tough. That guy was probably a little bummed about the cosmetic door trim and the running board but other than that, I would say he did do anything permanent.

That 4runner got screwed! Needed a lift, rock sliders, full skids, and off road tires. At least next trail he doesn't have to worry about damaging it lol. So so stupid.......

Pretty sure it will beep like that if you try and shift into 4low without being stopped and in neutral. So yeah it was not in low. Not the right way to do that at all. Must have been trying to get moms rig back before she found out he was ditching class.....

That beeping meant he was not in 4 low , but had it switched into 4 low.. Probably just got the truck and doesent know how to engage the 4x4
