Thanks for this long enough video. Perfect length for a productive morning. Not too long to get too deep, but deep enough to get through all important points. 👌

Thanks! For the pads I used Spire. For the bass I used Serum, for the leads Sylenth1 and DUNE 3. Those 4 I use the most and as you see in the video I mostly make them myself. Good luck on your productions!

This is really nicely done, appreciate the free tutorial! Seeing you work with so many tracks in ableton discourages me a bit though, as I only have Lite. Not sure if it's even possible for me to do hardstyle with an 8 track limit..
@xonartutorials
@xonartutorials 6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the compliment! Aww man that sucks. Maybe you can use an instrument rack for every separate sound? If you have 8 tracks, you might be able to do this: 1: Pads 2: Leads 3: Kick 4: FX (you can put samples in a drum rack and play them by midi) 5: Bass 6-8: Other sounds. You can put sounds in the instrument rack on mute through automation. Also be sure to keep an eye out for good deals on Abletons social media, I bought my license when I was a student and it cost me half. Hope this helps mate and have fun producing :)

Very generous two part series, thanks! Hardstyle seems absent on the major course platforms and the handful tutorials on YT often lack hardstyle pedigree, it's just a joke to them, but you seem legit! Been checking out your music too! 😀

This has been one of my fav tracks since it got released on spotify. Awesome to now have found you on yt and even that you explained how you made it! Got me hella excited! Thank you so much! Maybe an unrelated question to this particular video; but I'm curious, how much have you studied music theory? and if you have any tips for that for a beginning producer? p.s. never would've guessed that you used your own voice for the vocals, got me so hyped!!
@xonartutorials

Thank you so much! I have studied it mostly through watching KZbin videos about interesting chords and other topics. Aside from that I taught myself to play piano and learned chords that way aswell. Thanks for your question, let me know if you have more :)

So, you seem to do a bit of "freehand" rhythm without quantization in time. Do you clean that up later? Because it makes your rhythm sound really messy to me.

Maybe next time include which hotkeys you are pressing. For a beginner like me it's quite hard to follow if I always have to trial and error what exactly you have done at some point ;)

I have a question, can you explain why for the harmonies you have multiple different midi clips instead of just programming them all into the same clip?
@xonartutorials
@xonartutorials Жыл бұрын
I do that because the synths all have some sort of glide/legato on them. If I were to program them in the same clip, it would still only choose one note to play and glide in weird ways. Hope you understand it now!
