Did you ever mention what direction the line needs to come off of the new line spool? It should match the direction that your reel turns shouldn't it?

Maybe try live bait, for catfish. They love the current.

(and we all love Bill! ) BTW & FYI, for those that need more light protection, I need more "side-light" protection so I own and enjoy 4 pairs of KastKing Sunglasses that have larger eyepiece side frames that block alot of sunlight. 2 pair of Iditarods (I apply sticjk-on +2.5 bifocals) and 2 pair of Esteros that have built-in +2.5 bifocals. Nikki, in Minute 27 you casually mentioned a "BowFishing Reel" from KastKing - Wow! Along with my love of fishing here in Imperial County CA with my huge arsenal of KastKing Fishing Gear and Tackle (Imperial County aka Imperial Valley with the 1600+ miles of irrigation canals including the Mighty All American Canal and irrigation reservoirs, I love BowFishing here too. Californina only allows Common Carp to be taken with a Bow. My record with my Bow is a 19+ lbs. BowFishing here is not like what you commonly see in many other parts of the country. The shots are usually long with steep angles, down steep soft dirt banks into muddy irrigation water run-off "drains". I'm a pretty good shot but experience alot of misses. Carp have eyes similar to humans & are skiddish as heck. You actually have to stock & sneak up on the Carp. I wear camo to help conceal my presence. I cut-up the Carp and use for catching huge Channel Cats and Flathead Cats here in the Valley. I use the rest of the Carp for fertilizer. Millions around the world eat Carp but not me. Being a big beefy gigantic reel isn’t a good thing to most people. Especially in 5 and 6k sizes. No one I know wants a heavy big cumbersome reel.

Is it ever going to actually release for us in the states ?

I know Kastking has many nice reels, but the Bassinator Elite is still my favorite reel. KastPro Braid was my first product, and I'm still using it. 🍺🎣
