This was a blazing quasar of a song for me as a 12 year old back in the day. When this song came on the radio I was absolutely transfixed; had to immediately drop whatever I was doing to listen to this song! Great reaction and choice of song, Stan! Absolutely loved it!

This was the major battle of the war of 1812, and by the time this battle was fought a peace treaty had been signed.

I watch a ton of music reactions but it is really refreshing that (unlike most) you don't pause/interrupt the songs. Looking forward to hundreds more from you Stan!

Some people say this song is about dropping acid; supposedly, the band said it was about plane ride to England and what they saw walking around London. Its probably both.😊💂☮🖤🤘🎸🔥

The War of 1812 had actually ended before the battle of New Orleans took place but word hadn't reached that far.

The first i heard Lynn Anderson was on The Lawrence Welk Show. She was the first country singer on the show and was on it from 1967-1969. Rose Garden was one of my favorites of hers.

Best power-pop group ever. Eric was a marvelous writer and singer, and it's so sad he passed away as young as he was. He loved The Beatles and The Beach Boys and made his own creation out of his influences.

When I heard this song for the first time, I loved it, but I was shocked a little. I was young, but I knew what "go all the way" meant. It is so mild compared to today. Hahaha!

I'm a history teacher and a lot of people don't know that after we beat the British to begin in America, they came back in the early 1800s and tried to take it back. That's what this is about

Glad you're appreciating Johnny Horton's styles, Stan! He was a high-school history teacher who made American history singing about it to teens with his unique rock 'n' roll songs! & he had been inspired by John Phillip Sousa, who had inspired all Americans with 100+ patriotic marching band anthems! Still today, his "Stars & Stripes Forever" hymn is performed by 'The President's Own' U.S. Marine Corps Symphony in a powerful YT video, giving him credit for directing them: 1880-1892.

Love this song. This song was played in the film’s opening and in the closing, and the feeling is one of optimism in the beginning and sadness at the end. Nilsson was a great singer. Maybe sometime check out Jump Into The Fire … it’s played in Goodfellas
