Appreciate the detailed insights given in the video but I do have a question as I'm doing TA for my final year project. I have created a table for all the themes, sub-themes and the frequencies of how many times the sub-theme occurred. But am I supposed to discuss ALL the frequencies in the results section as well?? Or can I just discuss the one's I feel are important? Kindly help.

Thank you for your wonderful cultural channel mr Jarek . Iam Arabic lady subscriber to several British and American KZbin channels. We are as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level improve our English as well . I so happy to be subscriber in your channel. I hope I can learn a lot from your knowledge as I read you are sir academic tutor , member of international editorial board for international research journal of science. Ambassador of Polaris global research. I read about qualitative research is process of naturalist inquiry that seeks depth understanding of social phenomena within natural setting. It focuses on why rather than what of social phenomena. For example observation, interview , focus groups . Qualitative methods included grounded theory , analysis, phenomena logical analysis. Qualitative research methods have been used in sociology, anthropology, political science, psychology, political science, software engineering . Iam subscriber to British dc Elizabeth yardley she have channel ( degree doctor ) for PhD students. She mentions in her videos some of issues you are discussing. Iam so sorry to be little long but reading and writing both are great ways to improve our English as non native speakers.

I agree that a PhD can be quite a big challenge and investment. And if someone looks to complete their PhD in anticipation of getting something back immediately, there might be disappointment involved. But I don't agree with the bottom line. There can be different motivations for doing a PhD, and not necessarily in anticipation of getting something back right away. Regarding the statement that a PhD can prevent someone from getting a job - this might be the case in very rare scenarios. Most of the time, it will naturally serve the candidate by increasing their chances. I must say that I truly look up to your videos and the way you teach. You really helped a lot during my PhD. I believe that academia lost a great teacher, and I hope you will find the best spot for you. Keep positive!
@qualitativeresearcher2 күн бұрын
Thank you for the very kind words. I agree, the video may sound a bit one-sided, but I thought it would be better, for a change, to show a much more negative side of things (at the risk of being one-sided) than the other way round - as I believe that the latter results in much more harm and damage (there is so much positivity about the concept of a PhD and people may fail to do enough research and preparation before making this life-changing decision). I also respectfully disagree with the counterargument about employability :D (but that's a beauty of a good debate!). Or, let me take that back - this depends strongly on the job itself and the field. There will be fields where it is incredibly rare or even unheard of that a PhD would get in the way, but then there are fields and positions where a PhD indeed is generally not seen as something impressive, and often is seen as an obstacle. I am certain of this as I speak from my own experience, and I am sure you do too - hence the conclusion that this must depend on the context. I do not want to discourage people from pursuing a PhD as it may indeed be a beautiful journey in search of knowledge - but I do want to make the points that I made clear, to help people avoid disappointment later. Finally, let me assure you that I will continue doing what I have been doing, so nothing changes! :) Indeed, academia itself is not something I have any interest in doing full time (though I do collaborate with multiple universities), but I am not going anywhere, so hopefully my content will continue to help, inspire, and provoke interesting conversations :) Have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are!

Thank you so much for making this video. Your explaining style is awesome. Actually, now I am working on a research proposal for PhD admission, could you please suggest to me the method how could I write this like only write I want to use grounded theory or explaining the detail process of the grounded theory
@qualitativeresearcher5 күн бұрын
Thank you - for the proposal, I would not only say it's a Gt, but also do not go into Too much detail - I would expect you to define it Very Briefly, and then also very briefly explain how it matches the study and why you think it's a good fit - so essentially, you define and describe it Through explaining its practical relevance to the study (rather than, for example, going into much detail of what it is in theory but not making clear how it's relevant to this study)

So, I did reach out to the team KZbin on twitter (X) and got the process started. They looked into my case but they said they found no evidence of hijacking. My account was hacked and hacker somehow forward the recovery code to another email. I can’t gain access without it. So I don’t understand why they say there’s no evidence of hacking. Do you know if there’s a way to appeal so they check again? Btw, your video helped me to find a way to reach out to them so thanks for sharing.

Hello sir, im from your " how to recover hacked account" video and i already did all of the instructions but after i answer the forum questions i ended up by the KZbin team saying the case involve third party and as a policy they can't land me a hand. Can you tell me why is it happening the third party thing? Is it because i still have access to my Facebook account because i can log in my Facebook using phone number and that Facebook still attach to that gmail. Am i not supposed to have any access to that account so that my account doesn't involve third party case? 😢
@qualitativeresearcher6 күн бұрын
no idea, but it does not sound like this is what they mean (the thing with FB). I really do not understand this either, please try to search the various forums online (I especially recommend reddit - I had never used it before, but I started at the time when I was facing these issues, there are plenty of people who are struggling with the same problem) or ask them in an email what they mean
@zudynparker6 күн бұрын
@qualitativeresearcher I think its because the Hacker put he's yahoo mail as recovery gmail thats why it dispute a third party and google cant land a hand bcs he put yahoo in he's recovery

One thing that isn't talked about in non-linguistic circles is that "exactly as spoken" doesn't mean to include every speech sound. Words like "have" regularly get reduced to just a [v] sound and we think we hear that whole word (within the context of a conversation). Since everything rests on the actual sounds that are uttered doing such orthographic transcription boosts contrast and reinforces the meaning, but doubling down on a particular word from [v] might be wrong. I am tired of hearing people say these are the "exact" or "every" sound, when the words are a controlled hallucination that fills in details and is difficult to be pulled away from, discover and believe kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5K7ipSpap2SocUsi=_q5jBiWSaybhNj_z

Also, you may not change the title on this video as it was already it is. I think what you can do is add tags on the description. Put on the titles that rank higher on search so you may also got that titles on your description and not on the video title itsel. But yeah, you may find some tutorials on it. And yeah, I will never forget your face all my life as you save my 27K subscribers.. :) Thank you so much

Shows that you have a real problem with critical thinking. You were indoctrinated to believe that it is ok to judge a person solely on their ability to Write Academically, where in practice it is not only more important to convey the message with any means possible (because at the end of the day, knowledge sharing should be the goal of scholars), you are also completely ignorant of people who may be not good at writing, either because of their skillset or various conditions such as dyslexia

What if my research is in educational field where I want to know whether a particular teaching technique can improve students' reading comprehension skill. The general design of my research is pre-test-intervention- post-test. During the intervention I collect the data through observation (to answer my 2nd research question about challenges faced by teacher) while pre-test and post-test are used to answer my 1st research question about student's improvement. Is it can be considered as convergent, or explanatory sequential? Thank you
