Thank you very much for making such a film of this. It means a lot I know to a lot of the performers that people enjoy watching their groups and performances.

Hi, sure, if I remember correctly, use the CV output of the Pyramid into the trigger in of the 101.

Any post processing? This is how loud this unit is? Internal mastering used? If so OMG, that's incredible for a groovebox

No post processing, the MC909 has a built-in fully editable compressor.

Your thoughts on the gl2400 mixer? I've come very close to picking one up several times, but the stars never aligned.

It's a great mixer, highly recommended due to the number of effects sends.

@@LoveWeddingPhotosAndFilm Crazy, still on my mixer hunt, just saw a crappy mackie 32 vlz channel used, that will be going up for auction. Might be close to the end of my constant search. I find it funny that just today I find a mixer, and you post in this thread. I left this comment two years ago!

Hi there. I've just got a Drumbrute and Sq 1 but can't work out how to sync the Drumbrute to the SQ 1 or the other way round! Any ideas? Thanks.

You can use either MIDI or trigger out, or both.

Hello, firstly - awesome video. Secondly - do you have extra internal storage memory added to your 909 ?
@Jaysusitsme
@Jaysusitsme 9 жыл бұрын
+Jonathon Fowler It is a massive help, cheers! I'm picking up an MC 909 next eek and was wondering was 16mb enough internal memory. What's the difference between midi and sampling ? sorry to be a pain. It's just I was quoted €50 for 272mb with installation and am wondering if it is worth the time/hassle. PS this really is a great video, proper Detroit techno.

You are better to have a second unit and switch between the two in the same way you would do a DJ set, but all perfectly sync'd via MIDI

Just few months ago I sold MC-808 ... wasn't that good for proper playing "live" as it has only 8 sliders to modify sound ... even that only few parameters. If you wanted to do little bit deeper sound editing - no way without computer - whole idea of groovebox been screwed. The worst was the noise level on analog output - could you say that MC-909's noise level is low enough to record something without noise gate ? I like what you doing and showing in this video - cheers.

I'd say the MC909 is noise-free, superbly tweakable without any computer, it's a dream to use and really good fun.
