Fun fact. I’m a Trammell. Which we came from said manor. We also have some German and French heritage because of those times were full of crusaders etc etc stuff was confusing back than. For example the same person in texts could have different surname variations because in Cornwall at the time would spell according to sound. Now we have actual foundation to language but they had Latin and French plus German and Roman practices they had to adopt. So essentially the descendants of this area and time period are a smorgasbord board of dna. But everyone is because of the kings back than. Kings would have hundreds of kids with hundreds of women. Some even thousands. Sp history will forever be shrouded in mystery

I've tried to find this but went in from Houndtor. Is is basically Holwell Tor and down? Looks like (from the IS pics) that you went down to Becka Brook them back up again? Lovely vid 👍

I went from Hayor, on to the quarry then down into the valley. I then took a walk up toward Hound Tor, but was fighting the light so returned to the Brooke

I've been used to carrying a Vango soul 300 and now for me this is a very light tent. My phoxx2 has a fab stitched about a ft along the bottom of the zip preventing it from being fully zipped across that I've never seen in any other review. Any one else have this ?

I drink coffee from my jetboil all the time, I don't see how it's dangerous.. The handle works just fine, you didn't explain why you have a problem with it. You didn't support your doubt on how many litres it will boil with any fact. The jetboil is twice as fuel efficient than your lightweight option, so you would need to bring twice the fuel to boil the same amount. The jetboil doesn't need a secondary windscreen either, and the cup on the base is only to measure out a portion of freeze dried food. The jetboil pot is plenty big enough for a boil in the bag meal, with hot water left over for a brew. You claim in your pinned comment you actually like your jetboil, but then slagged it off for the entire video. You admitted in the beginning you got a deal on the price, as where some MRS stoves are more than £100 which doesn't include the pot and the gas, a very flawed argument.

Had this tent for a year now. Used 30 times now over that year and 18 times in the Highlands of Scotland and it's done everything you would want a tent to do

I have a zip, and it works perfectly for my use. I "hike" around on a ebike, and the fact to have a hot coffee, chocolate, tomatosoup or whatever; on the go is priceless, its almost faster than my waterboiler at home😊

Thank-you for filming this. When you Negative get comments just delete them. Cannot please everyone. So don't take to heart. For me you answered questions I need to make informed choice. I have owned and extensively used 16 different tents in my life (may be forgetting a few). Some were great, some garbage. The monger 2 seems to have thought it thru and com up with a fine tent. No tent will replace your bed at home or a good hotel room, so if you are not prepared to sacrifice some luxury for travel experience, then stay home!😂😊 thank-you for the video...

Im definitely a jetboil fanboy but dont own a zip, The OEX heiro is half the price and Twice the kit!! If your going jetboil, Flash 2.0 or minimo all the way, Also the little mighty mo is a cracking little unit has a piezo and regulator for about £55/60 👍 ATB

On Dartmoor a 'Lake' is a stream usually draining out of a boggy area so Red Lake is actually the stream draining from Red Lake Mire. The ponds near Red Lake tip are either clay pits or settling ponds associated with the clay works there.

You don’t have to have noise - turn the thing down and it is quiet. It is far more efficient on fuel than the BRS 300T and will also burn better in windy weather. I fought against having a Jetboil for years, but gave in and wish I’d done it years ago - superb bit of kit 😬
@davt86154 ай бұрын
100% it's why everyone compares everything else to jetboil, there is some other great kit out there, but I'm a jetboil fanboy 😅, have the Flash 2.0 the minimo, the mighty mo, Also the skillet and 1.5L ceramic pot, all quality stuff,

Great review. Bought one recently but have yet to use it in the real world although it definitely looks and feels very good. Is a chair whilst wild camping a luxury? Very much so but like you said the trade off is another kg on your back but as I’m already carrying close to 100 kg one more is purely academic

Good review! I've got the Phoxx 1 V2, cracking little tent for a bikepacker! Not sure why people complain about it's size, unless they're a 'big un'? At 5'11 and 72kg it's plenty for me to crash into, although it's complemented nicely with a little 2x2 tarp. Also bought a Bobcat, it pitches like a dogs back leg, and the inner hangs down like an old pair of drawers, seriously floored design! It's going on ebay, bloody junk!

Hi, Great review, but was wondering how well the bottom of the tent stands up to wear n tear? I have just bought this tent but was surprised that the bottom of the tent is not reinforced, it's just the same material as the rest of tent, and there are tape seals running along inner bottom! Do these seals stay intact after frequent use? Is the bottom easily punctured by gravel n sharp stones? I have decided to buy a tarp groundsheet just in case. Appreciate your thoughts on that. Happy camping! Jay.

The zip works great for boiling water for whatever your hot water needs are. I use the crap 💩 out of mine on my snowboarding trips to the mountain. It melts snow very fast…
