What’s better than 40? 42 Sailors. Kind of not sure about the race that sailors put in so many hours, miles, sponsor dollars and don’t make the cut. I think James was qualified (met all the requirements) and is out of the race. Maybe it should be you must meet the requirements rather than only 40 sailors are in. Then they still have to show up all season but know they are in. I don’t know all the ramifications of a larger fleet (safety etc..) but seems like a shame certain Sailors who met the requirements put on by the Vendee Globe are not in the race.
