First time i saw this guitar was around 4 years ago... my heart was in love instantely, I tried so many times to buy it but when i had the money and get to the store, was not available, in my country Colombia, just one official dealer, so my dream was broken... 1 week ago, this guitar arrived, is in my hands, and the only video on the web, showing its sound, the rea sound, was this one, thanks a lot for this video, I promise that i will watch it all my life, thank you so much

Did you have any issues with the Recording king Rd 328? Stores say they stopped selling bc of bridge issues and not holding up well? 😔 Leaning towards 1 though 😅

We have never had any issues like that here. Alot of stores don't take care of the humidity properly and that is what causes major issue with guitars. We keep are humidity between 40-55% (safe zone) at all times.

Put Mediums on it and it is as loud as you could ever want

If it's forward bracing.... And you don't have to go play bluegrass.... It may extend the life of the guitar to use light strings.... Often with the right guitar it doesn't actually sound better when you put medium strings on it... If you get plenty of vibration with a little less weight...It does depend on the guitar though.

Thank you,Yeah I recommend them. They are great for fingerstyle. it has a nice pickup system. We have one here at the store for sell that I setup with low easy to play action.

@@earl3496 got it a few wks back, haven't put it down🤣 beautiful guitar good sound system, i would agree with the other comment in that its great for finger style maybe not the best strummer as its mids foucused but i have other acoustics for that, i give it a big thumbs up for the specs at less than half the price for the same specs as a Martin, Taylor.

How consistent are these Recording King RD-342? How do they compare to the RD-328?

Their very consistent. They have a AAA Grade Adirondack Top which is a better selection of wood than the 328 and they have 1 3/4" neck on it which is easier to play than the the standard 1 11/16" that's on the 328. And you pay more for the pretty bling too.

Sounds great like a good bluegrass dreadnought.. What strings and gauge are you using? What flat pick model and thickness?

D'Addario Medium strings and a Heavy Pick. Tortoise or Primetone picks are popular and we just got in some Tusq Picks that have different tones that are pretty cool.

They are both great, its preference really. Its what sound you want and the style of music you play. The Recording King has a V neck and the Cort don't. Some people love a V neck some people hate a V. So its best to play them and see what you like. We also have Furch guitars here at the store that are awesome from $1000 and up. Hi, I am looking for this guitar. How do you place it in comparison with Martin D18 in terms of Sound and quality

The Furch Violet has a Solid Sitka Spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides like a D-18 and they also have scalloped bracing like a D-18. They have a very well balanced tone too. They are about $1800 cheaper, they have a great feeling neck that is well reinforced so that you want have to adjust as much as a Martin. Their quality is top notch on these guitars and the sound is excellent. Martins tend to have a deep tone. The green series Furch D-SM or the D-SR have more of a martin tone because they have such a deep bass. Furchs are in a class of their own really. You'll have to play them and find out what tone you are wanting. They are the best in sound and quality, for money, that we have seen so far.
