Well done on the video. However, it's noted that the effect created in the video is only a postprocessing and doesn't actually simulate the real tilt-shift effect. One major difference is that tilt-shift and actually makes both background and foreground in focus while this will blur both subject in background and foreground. Real tilt-shift camera did this by physically tilting the plane of focus and allow objects that intersect this plane (background or foreground) to be in focus.

I'm working on kind of bizarre little personal project. I'm interested in using a video I've done a little bit of filtering on. The idea is to use a filtered face as the input for a texture on an object. But...my instinct is tell me that this method you have here is a way to get a moving image onto a face as a texture, but it won't, say...add the audio from the clip to anything related to the project file. Do I have that right? Like...I'd have to separate out the audio and sync it somehow, externally? This is all fun for me, but having never really done anything like I'm trying to do, I have a hard time conceptualizing the project into discrete parts that need to be organized toward a vision of the end product.

Is it better to set your animation up and then setup the camera for tilt-shift, or to create the scene through the lens? I'm thinking car chase here...

I have a ~1GB big .tif file as a displacement for the moon. I am struggling to apply it as a displacement map and to export the result as a mesh (.stl) as it just eats up TONS of ram (>64GB) and each step takes >10 minutes ,_, Now I am wondering if there are more efficient "spheres" in blender when subdivided. As the default uv-sphere has very dense mesh on the two poles while the equator is the lowest resolution. Any ideas?
@DiverseGreen-Anon Жыл бұрын
The displacement map is also 23040x11520 pixels ._.
