Oops i missed It, while texting in Arabic do you recommend for it to be more guess work-ish? At least for dialects because my Arab friend when they were teaching me things they never used harakats so they type like anti/ انتي instead of انت with harakat? Is that usual? I’m barely starting out with Arabic sorry if this sounds super basic question 😅

thanks for your question! it is common to type the letter ي for the feminine in casual settings, like texting with friends. There are places where the feminine does take the ي along with ن! we will get to hopefully in our lessons! when it comes to vowels between the MSA and spoken dialects, there can be a lot of variations, you just need to tune in and pick up on it! The MSA is great to have as a foundation and backbone because everyone across the board can understand it.
