hello friends, and a happy, healthy new year, filled with joy <3 for the christmastree, i ve seen people that put a round catbed, like a donut around the base, its like an oval tunnel that has a wider opening, so they can lay down there and watch everybody, but they can also run around the tree. it normally keeps them occupied, and you can use it as additional catbed when its not christmas . there might be diy patterns to sew one ;)

For the bottles of oil a container with a lid would work. Since you are good at DIY you could make a custom box that would fit onto the counter. Kittens get into everything. I have an 8 week old kitten that has one speed; ON. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Just wondering, it looks like you have a wool cover for your chairs, for the cats to sleep in. Do you have a link for them? Our cats keep scratching the polstered chairs and i de love some covers…

Consider cutting window screen to fit around the base of your potted plants and then use decorative polished stones on top to prevent kitty digging. The stones need to be heavy enough so the lads can’t scatter them across the floor. Worked for our many cat friends.

I left the city for a 10 acre farm when I was 41. I just turned 70 and can say that living in a rural area was the best decision I've ever made. It isn't an easy lifestyle but it's the best lifestyle for me. I believe it will be for you also.
