@3DudesRC21 күн бұрын
We've been pretty happy with them. We did break some teeth off of the pinions at first, but after switching to hardened steel it wasn't an issue. Running excessive amounts in the sand dunes also proved to be pretty hard on the gears, but also just the entire truck in general.

Great video! I also have a question abt the tires. Do you think i should get the proline pro1023910 or the pro1015910? I am asking this because the pro1023910 is a lil bigger so it wil be faster. And also how is the balooning on the prolines that you are using in this video? I don't really do stunts so i don't want them to ballon.
@3DudesRC2 ай бұрын
Thanks! These low profile trenchers don't balloon much at all. The bigger version should give you a bit more speed, but I imagine they will also balloon a bit more, making it easier to control in the air. Bigger tires will also put more strain on your electronics, so gearing down a tooth or 2 might not be a bad idea. No complaints with the ones featured in the video, I just don't have any experience with the bigger version. Does that answer your question?

The issue you had with the paint is a phenomenon called "orange peel" this happens when you have multiple layers on something curing at different rates and an uneven coat. Essentially the area that is thicker will have a lot more of the reducer of the paint in it and can affect the underlying layers as well. Just means slow down and allow for more time to dry between layers and get the coats more even. If you notice it only really happened in places where you put on a heavy layer of white at the start of that phase of painting.
@3DudesRC5 ай бұрын
Alright so I’ll disregard Traxxas’ claim of 15 minute dry time next time and wait a little longer between coats. Thanks for the advice!
