this reminds me on one of those DIY swiss seat harnesses. neat design, deff great for backpacking and quick rappel down the slopes without the need for full climbing gear.

Exactly the video I was looking for! Couldn't figure out how to clip in without the belay loop. Getting this harness for stand hunting as well. Do you ever use it with a lineman's belt?

@adampaulwillis19765 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter. It still operates the same. Use this as just a guide line and find something that works for you
@jakegilly64385 жыл бұрын
If you wanted to put two carabiners on the harness for a linesmen rope could you just hook the carabiners onto the harness?
@deadendsb5 жыл бұрын
Jake Gilly you could but it would be less than ideal.

*Nice stand>>>**ur2.pl/923** so far. It's my first, so don't have a comparison. But, after 2 times trying it out and hunting in the woods I think I have it down. It's light, but I got the Sherpa game cart converter and its a breeze to haul a mile. Also getting the Mollie Straps for shoulders and waist. The harness works as it should: looks like quality seatbelt material. If your on the fence about getting either an open or a closed-get the closed. You can even use the bar to shoot your rifle from if you set the top section high and just stand hunt.*

Use the loop to stand in as you down climb. Set the prusik and then repeat

@jwaymore45487 жыл бұрын
I agree a RC harness is better but you had way too much slack when wearing the tree harness. Also do yourself a favor and get some stabilizer straps. You dont have anything to keep your lower part of stand from falling down to ground and they will make that stand lock tight when setting up. Go to thirdhandachery is where I bought mine or lone wold sells them too
@rjoverka41329 жыл бұрын
You are cross loading ur Carabiner it reduces the load rating and not a good idea there's no belay loop for a reason
