On the other hand, staunch supporters of the BJP and RSS are now opposing the movie, claiming it whitewashes Indira Gandhi’s image. You can check Prateek Borade’s video on this movie-he hated it and was very angry because, according to him, the movie didn’t show the cruel side of Indira Gandhi. He specifically mentioned the omission of the parliament firing on sadhus. In this movie, Kangana took a safe route so that nobody could blame her, focusing solely on her acting. Regarding her performance, as I’ve already mentioned in my video, at the beginning, it feels like she is trying too hard to embody Indira Gandhi. However, as the movie progresses, it becomes bearable. You might have noticed that I’ve only given this movie 3 stars despite all the praise because, direction-wise, the movie is weak. I hope my argument satisfies you.
