Comments are turned off on other videos, and just wanted to say thank you so much for posting the Modjeska Sign Studios exhibition. Gus Modjeska was my great-grandfather, and I'm not in touch with the rest of the family so it was amazing to see after all these years. Cheers!

4:40 That's the DPPX development crew. My first job was supporting DPPX...1985-1991. Amazing learning experience that I didnt appreciate at the time.

I was hired as an IBM temp on the day the Freeman announced the closing of the Kingston plant. The corporation was on a 100 year path of getting away from Hardware. Computers that took up hundreds of square feet went to the size of one or two home refrigerators. I had several family members that worked and retired from there. I couldn't imagine working for 30 years but I have managed to outlast IBM and its successor . I didn't start out at the company but at times it was the most fun I've ever had. When I worked there I never wore a tie once but the the products we shipped ran the world.

After they ended their lifetime employment policy then did away with pension, many of us bailed out. Leaving IBM was the best career decision that I’ve made. Sad how things turned out at Kingston. I have many fond memories of the place while working there.

I was a TDY Airman at the IBM Federal Systems Division from October 1961 to January 1962 in Kingston. I, along with many other Airmen were taught to repair the ANFS/Q7 and Q8 digital computers there.

Big market for white shirts in Kingston!! AT+T went through attrition big time in NJ 1980'S and 1990s. We had AT+T employees that were sent to IBM....big problems circa1997 in New Jersey

I don't think there is one person of color in that entire picture. Maybe the second to the last lady, but...
