Considered getting the Osmo action 4 but I have changed my mind, due to having to activate the camera via another device. Just can't risk not being able to connect camera and phone, and If I need to purchase a new phone the cost of the whole thing rises massively. Maybe I'll choose a GoPro or invest in a mobile phone with a good camera.

Hello, the following is how to activate Action 4: 1. Download the DJI Mimo app by scanning the QR code shown on the camera screen prompt or from an app store. 2. Press and hold the Quick Switch button to power on Osmo Action 4/. 3. Launch the DJI Mimo app, tap the camera icon on the upper left corner of the home screen, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your smartphone, and connect to Osmo Action 4. 4. After connecting Osmo Action 4 to the DJI Mimo app, you will be prompted to activate the device. 5. Complete the activation by following the prompts on the app. When using your brand-new Osmo Action 4 for the first time, you have five chances to skip the activation process for product experience. Once the provided chances have been used up, you need to connect the camera to the DJI Mimo app for activation. If you need help with activation, please contact us in time. Thank you.

Please make a new version of the Mimo App to remove the mandatory internet and account connection. It does not make sense! We can't even use a tablet since you verifying constantly locations... What if you can't connect to the internet or want to use tablets for Color Accuracy check on bigger screen. I really wish you can make it entirely offline. Please.

Note, this info is NOT accurate for the Phamtom 4 Pro Plus, the screens are completely different. In my opinion, the screens in this video are nice, unfortunately the ones on the P4P+ are not as user friendly.

I need some help, has anybody connected a Ronin S with a DJI Focus Pro Motor. I was told and saw advertisements that it would work together, I was even told by someone at Amazon that it would work together, went on to ask for a cable that wasn't just a USB-C to USB-C and it turns out he sent me a link to that very product. So compatibility, do they actually work using RSS to USB-C and to power Ronin S to USB-C. Any help would be useful. Thanks

This method of updating firmware is not (longer) possible with the new iteration of action cameras. I was looking forward to buy an DJI OSMO ACTION 5 Pro, until I found out (by reading people's comments) that it is mandatory to activate your device through a mobile app (RIDICULOUS!) Of course, some will protest (like I'm doing) but most will probably accept this anti-consumer practice and support the company regardless. I for one think it's despicable to require and force activation to use a standalone action camera. Instead you MUST download and install an app that collects and gives out your (personal) information/data, for "improving your experience and the quality of service". Why the ever increasing greed for big data (money, I know)... A lawsuit against anti-consumer practices would do these companies good. Unfortunately it's the only way to make them realize they can't get away with everything they do. /end-of-rant

How to upgrade the firmware when the incorrect firmware was downloaded and installed from the DJI downloads? I have a M100 that is bricked. Now the only noise it makes is: DD-D, DD-D, DD-D.... every other drone I've built the firmware is easy to install. Then there is DJI's story of restricting everything: M100 batteries are the same as a M600 but batteries aren't interchangeable. On and on it goes. No support and manipulative in its practices. A page right out of Apples Book.

The message on the SD Card said: ========== 2015.12.29 15:00:08 remo-con disconnect====== Packet: MATRICE100_Z3_FW_V01.09.01.40.bin Result: Abort. The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the device.

How do you clear this message off the screen if you are not using a phone ? I have the RC2 controller and when clicking the "confirm" button it says im not connected online. I dont have the app on my phone, dont want it on there, and dont want my phone involved, hence the whole reason i got the RC2 controller to keep the phone out of the equation.

‼WARNING ‼DO NOT BUY DJI OSMO ACTION 4 ‼I'm a wedding photographer and filmaker. I have been using DJI products for a few years, like drones, stabilizers etc. A few days ago, I purchased a DJI Osmo Action 4. Ipaid £379 + £27 for 3 yrs extended warranty and I can't use it. For these few days I have tried many ways to activate my DJI.O.A 4. ‼IT IS BASICALY IMPOSSIBLE‼ Tomorrow I have to film at a wedding and I can't use my new Osmo Action 4. First, I couldn't find MIMO app. When I found the aap on DJI website, I coudn't instal on my Imac and android mobile. I did my software update and MIMO still doesn't work. Few times I tried ringing customer service on your website, but the line was dead. Tried to get support through text message, but the bot's messages was useless. Finally, after a few days, my battle for activation DJI Osmo Action 4, I managed to install and open MIMO app, you know what happened? On DJI MIMO app, the option 'activate' doesn't exist. It's ridiculous. I did some screenshots and I will prepare a short video for social media to warning people it's a trap !

If yes, please follow the below steps: Firstly, please upgrade the firmware via the DJI GO 4 app. Here’re some suggestions if failing to do so. a. Make sure that the battery level for both the aircraft and the remote controller are more than 50%. b. Ensure staying connected to the Internet at all time during update, and don’t disconnect mobile device from the aircraft or remote controller. c. Remove the microSD card and upgrade it again. The camera arrived today. After few tests it locked the screen and forced me to install an app that is not listed on google. After download the screen is turning red with malware warning. Sorry DJI but forcing me to accept something like this to access a camera that I paid, is an abuse. I will return it tomorrow. Back to the gopro.

I am downloading app on my note 20 ultra as we speak, however wanted to share its a 800+ MB file, and that too u download from their website, as thats where the qr code leads you, as an apk file, meaning its not even available on playstore... 🤷 very weird, but anyhow already bought an osmo action 4 opened it up, and pretty much cant return. So wd try to make the max of it.
