I would have so much fun with these people!😂 Nothing makes me happier than wasting a scammers time until they completely flip out and start cussing at me.

I’ve been considering Waze instead of Google maps because Waze does navigate detours. I have an iPhone that I use if I need to navigate so you gave me a good idea of what to expect. Thank you and happy Holidays! 🎄😊

How do you get notified of the activity if you lost sim/phone # to scammers?
@vincentstouter4492 күн бұрын
🤔 Say “SIMM Swap Scam” three times as fast as you can. 🤣 This was the most carefully moderated explanation of the SSS exploit I’ve heard and is especially useful for the elderly and technically illiterate. 👍 The only enhancement I would suggest would be to use large black font on the paper or better yet to use PowerPoint (or a competitor) on a large screen. That said, the excellent narrated presentation was so clearly rendered that the visual was not really necessary.

Number 1. Prevention from sim swap scam NO online banking.

Phone company should not activate some random SIM they don’t know about. They should only send a new one to the address on file. They aren’t that expensive.

Phone company can call the phone to check if the phone is really lost or damaged.

You should have to go into a place to activate a new device and show id to transfer anything over to a new device

I ALWAYS Give out my number actually because I want them to talk to me in person PLUS I Don't have FB on my phone so when I'm headed to meet someone I can't communicate with them , if I'm lost or so forth. . . Maybe I shouldn't be doing that ? I also ask for their number so I can call them if I have questions . . and I am Not a scammer . . . ??

This scam cannot be carried out without the help of the provider. Therefore, they should demand that the "victim" go to one of their stores to prove their identity. The onus of this problem should not be put on the consumer.

It isn't only these types, but people misrepresenting what they are selling, which looks great in the pictures (Vantique for example) but look really cheap when you get one of their quilts you ordered.

Problem is the 2-step verification is not 2 steps at all. A real one can not just depend on the phone text messages and let that person in. The PASSWORD step is needed as well. This is just the dumb verification process from the banks or whatever business or organization that creates and/or accepts that type of verification. It is just like in the past many years ago when you paid with credit cards, the machines just printed the whole credit cards numbers which you tossed away which then can be used by criminals to charge on your cards.

Potential buyers are lazy and window shoppers - so they simply click the FIRST OPTION THAT FACEBOOK GIVES THEM to automatically contact you without typing (Is this available?) Anyone asking for your phone number right away is probably trying to scam - very prevalent in vehicles for sale or high priced items.

Saw another video of a real victim speaking out. He woke up in the morning to find his phone de-activated. These criminals know to make all those changes during sleeping time so the victim doesn’t get to see any alerts.
