@@_joshharris Haha… I remember people cursing Joe being there in the chat before hand! I finished 3 of these and they all had DQs on ZP or fliers. Best I did was 1 hour 2 minutes. If you’re taking this Zwift GP seriously I believe the time is what’s important… I guess you really have to find the most competitive race! I had a 2-sided A4 list of instructions for that race/course… Was good training and fun to do. 12 hard efforts :) I found the best tactic was to try to stay with as long as possible and then use all your matches on the 3rd from last 1km climb, then into the penultimate short steep climb. Race is won or lost there… that’s if you can keep up to that point!

@@benfinesilver2250 Great stuff mate. I jumped in because World Champs this week means I won't be able to do the Elite ZWS on this course unfortunately, so thought it'd still be a good race to tick off. Yeah I think the community one would be a time based GC, but as you say all depends on field size and which cheaters pull the peloton the most! It was a punchy course. Looking forward to jealously watching the other elites race it!

@@JimmyJet-s5v key moments out of the saddle to produce the power, and non important bits/power I prefer a low cadence because it allows me to get on top of the gear for the next key moment without shifting! @benfinesilver2250

That was interesting to watch Josh. It seemed to show the heavier rider having an advantage climbing and a disadvantage descending. Very weird! Maybe the watts needed to draft is higher, with the watts needed to break away also higher? If it’s like that a surprise watt bomb or an early sprint would be difficult to claw back. I suppose the dynamics might be different with more riders in a peloton though. If you’re in a break, then attacking would work more easily looking at this.

Hello josh , The positive points in my opinion are the descents already, before we were forced to press to stay in the wheels, which seems to be no longer the case. The second positive point, the watts that are no longer in offset but in instantaneous and the third positive point, the fact that we release the watts, our avatar does not stop as before. For the negative points, draft , especially in the climbs , even a lighter rider than a heavier rider will have to make more watts to stay behind, so for me light riders are at a disadvantage in the game

without having experienced this bug, I can confirm (after having raced SRC last night) that heavier riders are again dropped just the same as we were previously. There's certainly no advantage. To the point where it's the same as before and much lighter riders will still power away as w/kg is still king on the climbs. Can say this as one of the heaviest riders in my grade

@@Barney_NZ Yep, i definitely agree with that too, but I feel like this is different. Me and this guy could be 100m apart and to maintain that 100m gap it seems as though I have to put out far more w/kg. thanks for making this video, i am relieved that I am not the only one who experienced that drafting issue. something they need to address and will be very interesting to see if its any different during SRC. the difference in wkg even on a gradient was absolutely huge for me. it seems to be fine when in the draft/holding the wheel. but closing gaps I was doing 4-5wkg more and they were pulling away from me...rediculous

That doesnt look too good for lighter riders. I imagine MW wanted to differentiate their physics from Zwift’s, but they might have gone a bit too far to favor watts over wkg

Hey mate, I like to do a big mix of what's on for motivation- you'd get a lot through Chasing! Lately they've been things like; portal events, unticked routes (multiple platforms), some workouts, IV bot 'races' + been doing a 3 hour climbing route each week with all hills at tempo+.. (Monday I did a manual route with 8 zwift koms) I don't do anything in Erg. Usually terrain, sometimes fixed resistance (Zwift workout mode).. In terms of cadence I tend to do these ones at 55-75.. Most training tends to come out 58-68, but when racing im usually 65-75 because it's more natural/allows higher power.
