the sheik/arab prince arriving is only slightly exaggerated . Dozens of bellmen and room service people would line up as he arrived or left in the hallway (the entire hallway of the entire top floor of the interconti that floor covered with priceless Persian rugs, flown in a separate private jet from Saudi so his highness' Halal feet would not have to touch any infidel floors) he'd hand out hundred euro notes to every staff member.Think about that and Chevron CEO's salary and shareholders dividends as you fill your tank. Money to burn.Yours.

There is a rather humorous idea that WATER is just using humans and animals to cross dry places on the globe. That as it changes form and comes into contact with other chemicals and minerals it is creating systems that allow it to explore the universe, including the arid deserts where water in its pure form, is rare or does not exist at all. So Jerry's DNA concept of taking humans as a taxi to get from one generation to the next is very similar.

Watched this as a college student in the late 80s ??.....me and a buddy almost ruptured our spleens laughing at this show.....one of the funniest 45 min I've ever seen.....

@@johnperrigo6474 Garry Shandling is like Seinfeld. the only difference is, he's aware that it's a TV show. Garry talks to the audience and the viewers at home. most of the show takes place at Garry's house too

Garry and Jerry were neighbors and filmed their shows side by side on the Sony Lot for years. The Larry Sanders show and Seinfeld show. The shows came to an end concurrently in the year 1998. This footage is actually from the period when Jerry was filming "Comedian," his documentary released in 2002. It seems evident that Jerry has provided Larry with this footage exclusively for his personal utilization. Now that's a good friend.

So many comments not understanding this wasn't him touring. This is him working out new material. This was probably a random Wednesday night in a club in Jersey. I'd be surprised if Garry cared to log a date for these type of appearances.

I can’t believe Judd Apatow went through Gary’s stuff after he died and took all his written notes. then Apatow tried to bump people at the Comedy Store to try out the material. A real comedy ghoul that Judd Apatow.

Thank you for sharing this. I've never seen this before, and it's got to be one of the funniest stand up acts ever. He is so young looking here. Garry Shandling was such a fantastic comedian and his HBO show was one of the best television shows ever. He is sorely missed.

He was a brilliant comedian. He also wore beautiful clothes. Only my opinion, but I think it shows respect for the audience when an entertainer dresses himself/herself well.
