Tell me more. I’m 5’7” and have a slower half swing due to a right shoulder issue that’ll never get fixed (picture Donald Trumps swing.) will these work for me? Right in my price range, for my height are these a fit? Thanks in advance!
@CowboyGolfUSAКүн бұрын
Clubs won't matter quite as much as technique. Single length can definitely promote consistency in that technique. With a slower speed(do you know how fast you swing your 7 iron?), you could end up having problems with getting the flight and distance you want with the 5 or 6 iron in the set. Usually it is recommended to add hybrids or woods to kind of solve that issue. With a shoulder issue, you might look at something like the single plane swing. That technique could benefit you as well.
@keithwhitman1556Күн бұрын
@ thanks for the answer. No idea what my actual swing speed is but I generally hit my Ping G15 7 iron 150ish yards. Hit my driver 225ish, etc. cannot hit a 4 or 5 iron to save my life but do have a 20 degree hybrid I hit well.

I bought this exact set to test out single length irons and loved em. Bought a new set of cobra single length irons right after. Hated them, and ended up putting these back in my bag instead. My gapping and accuracy is more consistent with this set. Lost about 20 yards of distance, but my hybrids fill that gap. I’d like to try some other sets to see if I can find something better, but I’m just a weekend golfer that doesn’t take it to serious. I agree that the grips suck. Plan on regripping them before spring.
@CowboyGolfUSA20 күн бұрын
I didn't like the way these felt. I've also changed my swing type since doing a video on these. I don't know how much that would affect how I like them. Maybe down the road I will try them out again. If you like single length clubs, the orlemar intercept single length are some of the best I've had. Really inexpensive as well. If you want something more premium go with one iron golf. I also have some pinhawk clubs that are really nice. Single length, single lengrh hybrids, and their vertex dual length. They are kind of a middle ground price-wise.

I love the Lazrus clubs. I just got the senior flex. I thought of the woman’s set as I’m shorter and should be -1/2” to standard length. I got the original as I had the silver and black, which still look great after a year. I like the jumbo or oversized grips. The all black gets scratched up quickly. I have used a full set of hybrids going on 2 years now. I usually get 20-25 more yards with the hybrids.
@CowboyGolfUSA21 күн бұрын
That's impressive distance improvements! I am loving the Laz2 Irons. I have yet to review them but have played them and they are some of the best I have played with. I also got the men's hybrids recently. Will be doing reviews on all of it eventually. Time is a factor since I work full time as well. I appreciate the views and the comment! Keep an eye out for the other Lazrus reviews in the future.

I did enjoy them. My swing speed kicked up about 20 mph faster and I felt my shaft flexing a bit much to control. I had them reshafted. I regretted it instantly. Have reshafted them twice since, regripoes, ect...can't recapture the magic Cleveland sent me originally. Thankfully I have some other clubs I really enjoy or I would be completely heart broken. Will make a good story for a video and a great cautionary tale for others lol.

You didn’t hit one club .. what’s the point other than advertising
@CowboyGolfUSAАй бұрын
I hit all the clubs. Sometimes on camera, sometimes off. I am working on doing some kind of play through with all the sets I have reviewed so you can see for yourself how I play with them. This is very time consuming so its not happening right away. I do have a more than full time job. Playing a round or two, capturing the footage, editing the footage, and getting it posted takes a bit. Sometimes it's easier to do a range session or two and knock out a quick preview/review.
@dendraverАй бұрын
what you see here is a golfer that did not grow up playing golf. he picked it up later in life, which is why the swing is the way it is. its terrible, but thats what non golfers do. if you want your kids to play golf, teach them early or you will end up like this guy.
@CowboyGolfUSAАй бұрын
Actually, it relearning the swing. But most people learn swing mechanics for gold backwards anyways. Bad habits are hard to change and take work. It would be great if everyone could learn the swing the correct way from the beginning, but again most people learn it in reverse. What you see here is 25 years away from the game and a body that can't move the way it did 25 years earlier. With persistence and hard work, improvement will come, and has...shot +4, +5, +6, and +3 the last 4 times I played the course. That's a 3 week turnaround and improvement. Still have a ways to go, but am making progress!
@keithp5568Ай бұрын
Good for you for having fun with it. Golf is a journey and we’re all at our own pace. Have fun with it. It takes time and it’s way better than working.
@stuntmasta305Ай бұрын
The best way to improve is to practice. Most people usually go to the driving range and just wack away. Personally, I think by starting off in putting, then chipping. Gotta walk before you run. Wee courses are great
@CowboyGolfUSAАй бұрын
Playing is definitely better than driving range time. So many nuances of the game that you don't get at the range. For me the range is best for gapping your clubs out unless you have a monitor that allows you to do that on the grass. And as you said chipping and putting is huge. It's as good a place as any to start and such an integral part of the game.

I've been semi interested in edel. Definitely would want to get fitted to use them. I tried some darkspeeds from cobra, hated them lol. Probably could have used a "professional" fitting for those as well. Sadly it's best to travel to one of the main HQ for many of those companies to get the best fit.

I am learning too. I don't go a full swing the end of the club to the belt, under chin, and it is a smooth flowing thing. Hips forward end up with the navel toward the sky. watch videos. . other than that think of it as an iron, just a little further from the ball. Use a mini tee until you get the feel of the ground, if your pals don't object, and even if they do. lol. I 'm also 5 6 how do you like these? I cant hit a driver. That is why I'm here may try a wood. for distance otherwise I,m done. lol Go about 50 percent power to practice then move up to 65 percent percent and hold there. I would go for these as a almost senior.
@CowboyGolfUSA2 ай бұрын
I can hit a driver. I was struggling with distance. Maxed out at 250, but far from the average. Played my first full round of 18 in 25 years and had 3 drives over 300 yards. For me, once I added a bit more wrist hinge, it seems to have propelled my drives quite a bit further. Even on the range I was hitting above 270. Hybrids I am getting better at. I haven't games the Lazrus ones yet, but have a pinhawk single length set that I played yesterday. They were a lot of fun and most of them i could hit ok. I am struggling with consistency...should be expected when I change clubs every day lol. My 9 hole par 3 rounds are mostly improving and that's the part of the game I need the most help on. Have a lot of footage from rounds that I may post or use as b roll. I may also reach out to a pga pro and see about lessons. Haven't had any in years so it probably wouldn't hurt me any lol
@Frank0202 ай бұрын
@CowboyGolfUSA wow good driver skills. Maybe you got used to that swing. Maybe hit the range and just work on irons and hybrids, since you already grasped the .driver. but yeah if I go 100 percent my 4 heavy old hybrid will go wonky..

How do these clubs perform in terms of yardage gapping...? Which set is best?
@CowboyGolfUSA2 ай бұрын
Yardage gapping is good. They aren't distance irons, but they are gapped pretty well. I favor the orlimars as far as the budget offerings. Will be doing a small showdown in some upcoming videos.

So, are cavities making them light, or does it make your swings perform better?

They move weighting lower in the club making the center of gravity lower and should make the ball get up in the air easier.

I appreciate that. I think the length of shaft is something I have to figure out. Ball placement in the stance, distance from the ball, ect. I tend to hit better with one length clubs in many cases. I know there are some one length hybrids out there, so they are on my list to try as well.

I have the 52, 56 and 60 wedges from Lazrus and I really like them. A little hard to hit on a full swing, but a 3/4 swing on each and they are great. For hybrids, I simply hit them the same as I would hit an iron of that loft and my 4 hybrid is my favorite club now
@CowboyGolfUSA3 ай бұрын
I like the wedges too. And having the 3 give some options in the bag. I have taken them(hybrids) back out to the range, better results than before. Will still take some getting used to. I don't think I will ever game a complete bag, but maybe the 3 or 4 to complement irons. Funny enough, my 2 favorite Lazrus clubs so far: driver and the 2 iron ladies. That 2 iron is so much for for me. I can't hit the 3 for some reason, but bomb that 2 and straight!
