I think I bought it on Amazon few years ago it was something like $69 really cheap. And I used it for endless blitz matches at the chess club.

can i know your actual rating or what rating you guess that will be well enough to defeat this bot? im trying to see if im really that sucks in chess
@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lwАй бұрын
Look the rating is a misleading concept. Especially at amateur level, we are not producing games without blunders like top professionals. Instead like I try to convey in the video, try to develop your pieces in the opening, try to have your pieces defend each other, And then ask yourself some questions, like what was the reason for your opponent's last move, did it attack something? And you will see you'll beat this bot in no time. Also ask yourself when you want to play a move, what your opponent will play next.
@vlogivloginpoorfrench9491Ай бұрын
@@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lw thank you for this great answer. I agree and I have experience winning 2000 elo dudes and losing to dudes with 500. My rapid and blitz have a 800 elo difference too. Maybe it’s time for me to give up on chasing the elo. It’s kinda annoying to keep losing and winning without progression in elo but I’ll try to do what you said. Thank you so much !

@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lwАй бұрын
I was using another computer. However with the previous one, I think I understood what was the problem, it was using the mic of the computer, and that computer has fans to cool the GPU. Strangely they say the mic has a AI, excluding background sound, well it doesn't LOL So now I'm using the mic of the external camera and there shouldn't be background noise. But the change will be seen in the book reviews in at least 15 days, since I recorded already many reviews with the old system. Thanks for the feedback.

Hello there, I participated in the study some two weeks ago, but I've not yet received any updates on the compensation. Have they already disbursed it to you or do you have any updates on the same? Good game there
@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lwАй бұрын
Yes, I received the money today. They took their time, because it seems in the upper echelon of players the engine was set too strong, and literally smashed them like children. They said they are accepting new players rated FIDE for continuing the experiment. By the way, I didn't really need the money, I was interested in being part of this experiment.

Xiang qi or shogi how to difficult to play ?
@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lwАй бұрын
They are 2 different forms of chess. Shogi should be the more complicated of the two, because it has the possibility to re-use a piece you of the opponent one took during the game and add it to one's own army. At the moment there are more Shogi players in Europe than Xiangqi.

What rating is the bot? Loving all the experiment videos your posting
@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lwАй бұрын
Thank you for the feedback. I don't know what rating they set the engine. Likely around 1800-1900. As you can see it's kind of difficult to understand the rating watching a game. Sometimes I noticed also titled players make mistakes like club players, making the rating impossible to determine, if we don't know the name of the players.

Hello! Great videos and happy to see that you find your way to Chessiverse. About the bot playing the same opening, it's because you're playing the weekly challenge which was the Sodium Attack (this week it's the Winawer French), and when you choose "Next challenge" it picks the next difficulty but still the same opening. Instead go to Play in the menu and you can choose any bot, and they all have their own unique opening repertoires.
@Mr.Checkmate-cy4lwАй бұрын
Thank you for letting me know. I love the graphic of your website, amazing! And of course I love the entire idea.
@osvaldoautrittiaut2 ай бұрын
You missed the point. "Challenge" in this chessiverse site is that you have five different bots who will play the same opening. for a week. Next week they all play 1. h4 The site also has a "endgame challenge" where you play the very same endgame vs various bots. Now if you just want to play regular games then you must not choose any "challenge" but just ckick on play a rated game vs a bot of your choice .

I just beated Isla(genz), but was at the end king+pawn(queen) vs king. I searched to see if there is a way to win her, without losing a lot of pieces and I found your video. The strategy where you sacrifice your bishop to open space to the horse was very interesting, I see now what exactly they mean when they say that a pro-player know how to sacrifice. Congratulations for your chess journey and knowledge.
