I understand this lens is not weather sealed. I live in Miami Florida and I'm plannimg to use this lens outdoors which is humid most of the times. Does any of you have had experience with humidity getting inside this lens ?

At the long end 300mm it is a little soft that’s the only catch about this lens. Besides that it’s great.

Made a groundpod out of a 10” frying pan with 3/8” bolt, 2 washers and 3 bolts for l less than $9. Left the handle on it to push😂 it around and also attach it to my belt by carabiner. Provides a stable platform for camera ball head or gimbal and supper telephoto lens. It’s down and dirty cheap but works well.

Toby, I'm getting into macro photography, and my Canon 7D Mk II with flash is too heavy, though it has 10 fps drive mode, and my Canon T-3, though lighter, has only 3 fps. So, I'm looking for a lighter Canon (which I could use with my EF mounted Tokina ATX-i 100mm f2.8 FF macro lens, and Godox TT600 flash), especially with an articulated screen - because with my old-age spinal and hip pain prevent me from getting down and dirty tring to look through the Live View image 0o flowers and insects. HOWEVER - I've heard/read that the R10 articulating screen is blurry and not well lit - would you comment about your experience with the screen please? Many thanks!

Great review.....2024...Having used the both Sony 200-600/5.6-6.3. and the Sony 100-400...I will go with the Sony200-600 when I eventually get down to purchase....(I am not a fan of external telescoping lenses) and I also already own the Sony 70-200/4...I currently use a pair of Sony A7c bodies with a holdover original A7s...I am no longer much of a video maker...I am from Olympia but currently retired in retired in Bangkok...cheers

I hate digital working. I have an external drive. Has 6000 images in it with sub folders. all were under the drive name in lightroom when I was working this morning. Rebooted and came back to work more later, and lightroom has ZERO Folders under my drive name and no files to locate. When I try to import them from the drive again, lightroom wont let me because it thinks they're duplicates. Please help! Magically lightroom can't see the files on my external hard drive but the'yre there when I open them on the pc. All the folders and everything are there. Drive is on, light is on. I cant find the files when I open the drive on the PC I couldve make 10 darkroom prints in the time its taking to fight with a pc

Thanks for taking the pressure off to buy expensive soft boxes, umbrellas and other lighting equipment. It's encouraging to know that you can get such creative and interesting lighting schemes with whatever light sources and reflectors you have at your disposal.

Hi Toby, You always provide a wealth of great information. Thank you! Your instruction manual in reference to LightRoom. Is it up to date for 2024? I am interested in making the purchase. I see you own a Sony ;). But, I am sure you own many other brands of cameras as well.

PLEASE READ- SAVE SOME BUCKS!!!: Several commenters have stated the price of 105mm filters being prohibitive. Simple solution is buy (or may already own) a 95mm CPL, ND...whichever! Then purchase an inexpensive 105mm-95mm step-down ring, screw your 95mm filter onto it and screw that combo onto the front of your 60-600 OR 150-600mm Sport and there you have it! No vignetting whatsoever at any focal length/aperture setting. I even have the Sigma 105mm Protector filter on the front of this lens, then the 95mm combo and still NO VIGNETTING!

Hello from Croatia! I just watched this video and I'm grateful for it! I'm using Canon 60D right now, and I wish to upgrade it, in my budget - and it seams R10 is quite OK. I want to do some professional shootings too, but this is afordable for me now. Great video, thanks!

Why is my shutter speed slow when I have good light (I’m outside), my shutter speed is 1/4000, my aperture is F8. And my iso is 800? No matter how I change these settings it still isn’t very fast. Using a Canon EOS Rebel T7
