Hi, I really enjoyed your podcast. You make beautiful knitwear. I'm glad to hear you are detaching from the push to perform when it comes to knitting. My son lives in California in the U.S. and is a software engineer as well. Take care :)

Hey Fran! I loved your podcast and enjoyed knitting through it. I like how self-reflective you are and I can relate to a lot of things you said, especially about feeling depressed after spending too much time on IG. I have same feelings, I delete IG app and then download it when I need something (like make a post on my knitting acc or message someone), I do it and then delete it again. Even youtube, I try to limit my time here, especially in knitting to then aboid feeling overwhelmed and rushed to knit everything in the world. I started a knitting podcast with a strong promise to never knit for the new ideo, but create a new video because i knit. So if the new episode has to come out in 3 months, then be it :) if sooner, fine. Enjoy your knitting, and its nice to get to know you!

Hi Evgeniya, thank you for sharing! It feels good to hear that other people are also struggling with this and I really like the attitude, especially because in that way we won't loose our joy for knitting. Enjoy your knitting and likewise!

I also don’t use instagram anymore because it gives me anxiety. Very happy I made that decision! And I’m also a software engineer and enjoy knitting. Glad I found your podcast, beautiful projects and colour choices. My advice for colourwork is that it gets better with practice - for me it got better halfway through a sweater pattern, and after I knit a pair of colourwork socks. To make the gauge looser, I spread out the worked stitches on the needle very often. And it tends to look much better after blocking. I watched a few youtube videos about how to get better at colourwork and some of it helped, eventually haha.

I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one that has this feelings! And this is a really cool tip, maybe I should start with a colorwork sock and try to spread out the stitches. However I need to see if I can reuse like some packaging to make myself a cardboard sock blocker or something for this haha
