Do you have any update on healing your pmle? I have had pmle for 5 years now and I have been searching for information to cure/reverse it. This is my second month doing “lazy” carnivore but I’m trying to make it sustainable for me so I’ve been weaning into being more strict. I have noticed many improvements in how I feel each day by eating this way despite not being strict carnivore however there has been no improvement with the pmle specifically yet. I would love to hear more about your experience!

How long did the PMLE last? Do you still think it's oxalate dumping?
@RoweCountryCrafts2 жыл бұрын
I changed to a primarily all meat , salt, water diet with a few hiccups along the way… I have many years of healing to do. That said , that change has sustainable results for me. In fact we recently installed a pool this last summer and I was able to swim, and had no sun reactions at all. I believe that it was oxalate dumping and I’m happy to say that I feel I am in the healing phase. Thanks for your question and for watching ♥️

Hi, no. I’ve actually been able to resolve the issue completely with a diet change. And, time. I had to let my body heal. I actually just returned from a trip to Florida recently and, for the first time in years, I had no adverse reaction to the sun. Thanks so much for watching ❤️

@@RoweCountryCrafts What dietary change did you make? I too have developed some sort of hypersensitivity.
@mommalisa525602 жыл бұрын
@@emmaleethompson7964 I have some thoughts on this. It is somewhat confusing because there are so many variables to consider. Now this is just my personal experience. I take a fair amount of supplements but not necessarily every single day. In 2017 I followed a very low carbohydrate diet. One of the supplements I took was fish oil and I had also began supplementing with D3 and K2. I absolutely despise sunscreen but will wear it if needed. After two seperate all day hiking trips at high altitude and by water, I barely had any pinkness to my exposed skin. No sunscreen which is really stupid for that kind of exposure. Next morning, no pink, no nothing. Like it never happened on both trips. So, I thought this vitamin d is amazing stuff. I started researching. Nothing on d preventing sunburn. Then I carefully went over all of my supplements and researched each ingredient in each supplement. The only ingredient I found that was purported to prevent sunburn was astaxanthin which was in my fish oil. So, I began supplementing with that, dropped all sunscreen use because I thought I had developed an allergic reaction to every single sunscreen on the market anyway. Last spring I quit taking all supplements because one of them might affect liver tests. I needed to have some blood work done. Then I never resumed taking them and boom. Two episodes of sun exposure, a week apart and PMLE for about six weeks. Miserable. I rarely miss taking that supplement but I don't push my luck in the sun. But while researching the carnivore diet I noticed a lot of reports of people saying they no longer needed sunscreen. The reason I'm checking that out is because my doctor wanted me to go on an elimination diet. No dairy, no grains, no nightshades, no vegetables with a lot of carbs. What does that leave you? Meat and salad. What do both of these diets (very low carb and carnivore) have in common? They are extremely low in seed oils. My doctor objected somewhat to the meat and salad idea but there wasn't a whole lot she could say. Then with the oxalate dumping, I haven't decided if that is a legitimate theory or not. But the closer I eat to carnivore, the better I feel. Blood work looks great too. Sorry about the book. Happy Holidays.

@@mommalisa52560 hi! So have you gotten more clarity yet? My bf has just recently started experiencing similar symptoms and only sun avoidance is what keeps it at bay. And doctors havent been that helpful in sharing useful management strategies. I think its management should be routed in good gut and intuitively low carbs, more fiber, D3, and more proteins seem the logical bet. But would love to know what's been your experience so far since last you commented?

Hi John, I wouldn’t call it stabbing. More like an increasing tingling sensation followed by heat and noticeable red patches and/or botching. Super annoying and not attractive whatsoever. It’s takes time for it to go away. Even a few years later I really have to take care to not be exposed to sun for very long.
