Tourists going to Houtong should also consider visiting the coal plant museum. The process and the way they preserved the remnants of the old coal mines is fascinating.

I traveled from Taipei main station! And you can easily get the ticket to Houtong from the ticket machine there☺️👍🏼

7:43 it says 錳舺夜市 (mengjia night market) 錳舺 being the old name for that district, which is 萬華. Guangzhou is the street name

Transportation in Taiwan is really good so it's easy to go around! My tip is only for you to save room for all the street food at the night markets! everything is soooo good and tantalizing ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
