I just listened to the second and the sixth ones and I had to stop. Such an attempt to reconstruct music from Song dyansty was a prove that Professor Joseph Lam's proposal of reconstructing historical music with contemporary aesthetics (or western classical asthetics in this concert?) was an unconvincing methodology of bringing ancient East Asian music to present days. Still, thanks for his experimentation. We know what the future pathways should be like in academic reconstruction of ancient East Asian music.

I learned Chinese character different from old method.i learned 50 pattern,from there extend to 600 character. Just recognize them, using voice input method change to characters. Eg. For recognize the Chinese character 常常要练习写字。加一些笔画变成新字。 人( )人( )人( )人( )人( )人( )人( ) 答案在下面。 天 大 头....买卖 灾火🔥火灭灾火土 太犬 头. From/ and \,move apart became 八入 then bend became 儿, add draw a line to form 又叉 又 write using Chinese 凵, u and draw 山 出 凹( 凵 u) 巾帼 离常 巨 叵 匠 臣 .using handphone software, as long write 70% similar word will appear

This is the wrong comparison. Letters in English are not used in reading, it's the whole words that we have memorised, thousands of them. It's easy to prove with the well-known little trick showing a piece of English text with letters substituted by other letters or digits or some other gobbledygook and the text remains perfectly readable.

China couldn't enter the computer age without adopting Western keyboards. The real test to find out whether English or Mandarin is more efficient is simple. Take 100 English typists and 100 Chinese typists (say medical transcriptionists), and use a type racer type program to test their average speed. I guarantee you the English typists would win.

Then what? Are you trying to say Chinese speaking people cannot use computer?😂. Soon it will be mostly voice input, want to have a match? I guarantee you Chinese will win - Chinese have much shorter sentences, typically. But it is meaningless. The real burden is the vocabulary. In that regard, Chinese language is better. It too full advantage of the power of combinations.

🏓😎🏓 Do you know how the Chinese word “contradiction” was created ? The story behind the creation of the word “contradiction” in Chinese two notes compound word “矛盾” or “spear-shield” in English language is very interesting ! The story went something like this ~ one day a customer passed through a hunting store and saw the owner of the store selling his spear 🗡️ by saying his spears are so powerful that it will penetrate any shield 🛡️ you might have ! Then the customer asked the owner how good is the shield 🛡️ he was selling ? The owner said his shields🛡️ are so powerful that no spear can penetrate them ! Then the customer asked the store’s owner what if by using his spear against his own shield 🛡️? This store owner was speechless ! Hence the word “contradiction “ or “矛盾” was created !

The Central Government of the Republic of China published a list of 4808 characters 中華民國常用國字標準字體表 as a standard for literacy, those so-called "3500" she talks about is just a shortlist with non-standard characters chosen by an illegal "communist administration" with an aim to limit peoples literacy, you still need to know 4808 full form characters to understand standard language.

There are some things she doesnt talk about, not all simplified characters go back to the original form , the reason we like traditional characters is because they hold more of the meaning of the character, for example "listen "听 in simplified characters used the mouth radical, whilst the traditional form uses the ear (to listen)as its radical 聼,another thing we could mention is how in simplified chinese characters there is no difference between the character hou for "afterwards"以后 and Empres 皇后 whereas the traditional characters for these words are very different, traditional charcters clearly define the meaning, 後 is afterwards and 后 for Empress, another thing is for characters for hair, hair on the temples, hair in general, moustache etc you will see the radical which tells you very clearly the meaning is related to hair : traditional characters 頭髪 hair , moustache : 鬍子have the same radical denoting hair, the simplified character just uses 头发for hair. 发 does not show the characters meaning as related to hair, its just phonetically the same sound and its the same character as used in "to discover"发现,whereas, the traditional charcters for these two words are showing you clearly they are different in meaning :髪 hair, 發現(discover)if we look at love 爱 in the simplified version it has taken away the central part of the character which is "heart" if we lookat the traditional character for love we can see 愛 has the character for the heart at its centre, whereas the simplfied 爱has no heart in love !!! For me when I was learning Chinese, the traditional characters though they have more strokes , are aesthetically more beautiful and meaningful, for the student, they are logical and so in fact, easier to remember, I have to thank my teacher who taught Chinese from the radicals which is the best way to learn even though slower, it gives you a fantastic foundation of understanding the building blocks of Chinese characters , and in the days when i was learning , many dictionaries for chinese characters were arranged according to what radical the character had, we looked up its meaning via the radical then how many strokes it had.
@menonalevi69842 жыл бұрын
But also, not all traditional characters make sense. Yeah, the character of listen in traditional (聽)has an ear, that make sense, but it does not make sense that it has a heart in it, it also has the Jade radical which is senseless. But yeah, I don't like the simplified version of listen (听), probably a better simplification would be someting like this (耳丁) I think :P But simplified chinese was necessary to boost literacy faster, traditional characters takes more time to learn and it's more slower to write, so I prefer simplified. For example, it is unnecessary to make this character (廳) it is too complicated when it's radical its just phonetic, while in simplified its just this (厅), which is more easy to learn and write for children. Another example would be cat in traditional (貓) it has the radical of badger, but in simplified (猫) it has the radical of dog, so in this case both are kinda senseless. Love in traditional has the radical for go (攵), but in simplified it has the radical of friendship (友) so I think simplified has more sense in this case. I don''t understand why the tradicional version of this character has a short tail bird (歡). This traditional character for ''point'' has black in it (點), that radical is unnecessary, so this simplified character is better (点), the traditional character for advanced or enter has the radical of short tail bird (進), in simplified is just this (进) which in this case is a phonetic radical. voice in traditional (聲) has the radical of attack, but in simplified (声) they just get rid of this because it does not make sense anyway, the traditional character for country (國) has has the radical of ''maybe'', but in simplified it has a king (国), I know it can also mean Jade, but in this case means king. There is a lot of traditional character which has a lot of radicals that doesn't make sense anyways, so it was better to just get rid of useless radicals or changing its radicals for phonetics one or also changing its meaning. The vast majority of simplified characters preserve its meaning, it's just which some radicals has been simplified. 爱 has its heart, but heart has been simplified into one stroke, 讠,门,页,见,贝,东,车,专 are just the simplified version of 言,門,頁,見,貝東,車,專.
@gabrielgracenathanana17136 ай бұрын
Just remember, before GMD went to Taiwan, President Kiang he himself was also planning to do the simplified. It was 10:1 in favor of simplified. So, the fact that “traditional” got into the policy is mostly political motivated. Let’s put this aside. It is meaningless now to keep arguing it - what are you trying to argue, Taiwan is better than China? We all know language is nuts. We all know that American English is not necessarily better than British English, but American English is used more in the world. In the same sense, no need to argue anymore, China “won”! Of course, we should be able to read both. No argument there.

Chinese is more intuitive but european languages are much more intentional, allowing for quicker assimilation of other cultures. I feel like Chinese works how latin and probably indo-european used to work. The thing with modern european languages is that they are born out of tribalism and war and absolute barbarianism so you get all kinds of weird words that get added to the roots of older languages that then get changed just for the heck of it sometimes because why not, your nation isn't lasting only your blood.

🏓 😎 🏓 😎 🏓 As far as we know, 1️⃣ English is the only language able to use noun as an adjective except the Chinese of course, and it’s the most advanced alphabetical language in this world, 2️⃣ but do you know the first Chinese author ever to win a prestige Nobel prize in literature wasn’t even the best author by Chinese standards ? He won the Nobel prize just by using the most ordinary (ie. simple and easy) Chinese words to tell the most extraordinary Chinese stories in all his books. It’s because any English literature can be translated into Chinese characters but not the other way around. 3️⃣ Believe it or not, some English literatures can be translated into several different Chinese versions, because there are so many ways to express the same words or phrases in Chinese language. 4️⃣ But when an idea is written within another idea in a single sentence there are no other languages able to translate these Chinese sentences at all ! For example, how do you combine voice of one English sentence into the voice of another English sentence and write down as one single sentence in English ? Will this new 2-in-1 sentence pronouncing like a musical voice or noise ? 5️⃣ Therefore alphabetical languages are subsets of the Chines 3-D sound-form-meaning all 3-in-1 character language and Chinese is the only truly written language in the world. It’s not using voice (pronunciation letters) alone to communicate with each other. Every character in Chinese can be pronounced by different dialects in China without change it’s meaning what so ever ! 6️⃣ May be Chinese are hard to learn initially but it will getting easier as you learned more and more creative characters. Because we can use 3,500 more or less creative characters and their parts to make millions of related and easy to memorize words. English language on the other hand are very easy to write or pronounce at first but getting harder and harder to learn or memorizing and comprehend many unfamiliar, unrelated and illogical new words, and eventually end up with over one million vocabulary and growing by ten thousand or more new words each year ! How can anyone memorize all these new words quickly let alone 30,000 essential words you need to know in the first place ! 7️⃣ Besides being hard to create easy and clever new words, English are also hard on the computer storage spaces, because English words are 5 letters long on the average plus a space between two uneven length of words. On the other hand, Chinese characters can all be represented by 3 letters each with no space needed in between them therefore they are 50% shorter than each English word on the average. Although Chinese words consist of many compound characters, none the less for the same article Chinese still using 20% less memory spaces and 200% less printing paper for that matter than the English ! In fact, the thinnest copy of U.N. Charter is printed in Chinese. Less paper means less pollution on earth ! 8️⃣ Since every Chinese character has only one note which takes 1/4 second to say it and we have over 1,200 different notes in common use but our poor English friends only have 400 different notes to use, therefore to express the 401st. object it takes two notes or 1/2 second to say it. In general, it will take English 60 seconds 🐌 to convey an idea vs. Chinese people only take less than 10 seconds 🚗 ! In other words our Chinese Language is a High Speed Learning Tool ‼️

🏓😎🏓【 An easy way to understand the clever Chinese language as follows:】 30+ strokes in character are《equivalents》to 26+ letters in alphabetical word。 🇨🇳One or more (usually only two)《one note character》making a Chinese word ! 🇺🇸On the average 《5 letters》making an English word ! + a space in between ! 🇨🇳One character is in a 2-D one note compact form. (~3 letters each w/ no space). 🇺🇸Alphabetical word is in a longer linear form with many notes most of the time. ✅ Therefore Chinese is a very fast and compact language in writing or conversation. 🔵 3500+ characters and it’s parts can make almost unlimited number of words ! ⚫️ But in alphabetical world you need almost unlimited memory not just 3500+ letters in Chinese so to speak and 🔴 best of all is that every character can be pronounced in any way you like without change it’s meaning at all ! ie. anyone on earth from any country can pronounce the way they like for themselves just like 56 different ethnic dialects in China 🇨🇳 now and live in ☮️ peace and understanding 😇 with the very cleaver one note Chinese 3-D written language 《not just pronunciation alone 》‼️ ✅ That’s why Europe has 23 alphabetical languages let alone other non-alphabetical Languages using only different pronunciations to communicate instead of using the Chinese abstract characters that’s independent of the pronunciation what so ever‼️ 🟥Clever Chinese language also makes you more clever by using both side of your brain❗️ 🟨Not just pronunciation sounds but abstract signs too which makes you better in MATH‼️ 🟦How The Chinese Language Makes Mathematics Easier To Understand kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGjNeYdtidqgmdk 🏆 ➡️ ❤️👍 👀 ✅【One belt one road】😇🎵 ➡️【One character one world】⁉️
