Interesting, so all those Royal Enfield's that were shown off you don't like? 68 years India has been producing Royal Enfields, longer than they were ever produced in UK. There's this weird misnomer that India has only just recently taken over Royal Enfield, and that the quality has dropped off. You can pretty much say the exact opposite has happened

I want to make a correction to your (1.) statement. If you approach the bike and first shift it into neutral then you can start the engine. I have a new Meteor and I generally do this - start the bike and let it idle and warm up for a minute. On the side stand. It is true, I have found, that when you are riding and you come to a stop, if you push the kickstand down, Yes the engine stops. If you put it into neutral on the side stand then you can start it.

Woohoo finally found one in American English language. It's like a breath of fresh air from all the India and England ones I've been watching. Especially those Indian ones, my God! They start in English then like 1 minute in the video it's all Hindi. LOL Made this so simple and easy to understand and big thanks for mentioning the tools and specifically the sizes(and in text on the video!) of everything. I'm coming from the car world and was a little intimidated since I have never worked on a Motorcycle, but I have worked on plenty of cars. I didn't realize how easy these Royal Enfield 350 bikes are to work on. It's like the simple man's engine. Thank you for posting!

I have a Meteor and a Hunter. Fasinating how 2 bikes build around the same platform are so totally different in every aspect. Some complain about the Meteor's sloppy gear change. There is an upgrade kit on eBay which replaces the shifter pivot for a precision item and a ball end linkage. The difference is transformational. Also, the rear shocks are a bit harsh and can really jar the back. Was looking to change them. A KZbinr tip advised original Hunter shocks. Totally solved the problem.. Lovely bike. Everyone talks about beginners but it's the perfect old timers bike.

Looks much tidier 👍 and I am so in awe of your let’s-get-this-done attitude to piecing it all together, even one handed, no fannying around, as we might say here in the uk! Hopefully by the time I get to persuade my bank balance I need a Del Mar in my life, there’ll be a uk/Europe kit with a tail/brake light that traces the radius beneath the top panel with tiny pin lights for the indicators/turn signals/blinkers - that would top off what is such a great looking bike, but yeah, those fender contraptions are hideous 🫡
