He can’t stop rubbing his nose he’s lying through his teeth. Noel blatantly wrote it and let him have it

If you listen to the pre Morris mix it sounds pretty flat and bland … it’s funny to think where they’d be if Owen Morris wasn’t around to fix it .

They need to understand that Kurt was extremely cynical and sarcastic... That song was written as a sarcastic response to journalists always asking if Kurt was healthy and OK... Everyone who knew Kurt said he was always in a good mood and had a great sense of humor, and the band was always in good spirits and laughing... You can watch any Nirvana interview and they are laughing and cracking jokes the entire time... Even towards the end of their career in 94

This has aged well! Especially when Noel chose "yes" when Ticketmaster asked if he wanted 'dynamic pricing' or not. A "clean soul" indeed. Damon came from Leytonstone and went to Stanway primary school for f+++ sakes. Noel thinks this must be like Harrow 😂😂

It’s so lazy to go after those that are actually influencing music. There’s a reason why people say oasis is overrated, no technique to their musicality. Ironic how diverse Damon’s discography is and in big 2024 liam still outplaying his ‘relatability’ approach. Speaks volumes how all those years in music and the only thing care about is that you were working class😂

What made wonderwall their biggest song is the melody, the vocals, the perfect mix of violin and piano. And it's a romance song and people love those.

Led Zeppelin were the worst at stealing other artists work and claiming it was theirs . They wouldn't get away with it these days with the internet . Robert Plant even stole his style of singing from Steve Marriot .

What made Wonderwall their biggest mainstream hit, was that : 1. It was not 4 to 5 minutes long. The greatest pop hits in history are only about 3 to 3 and a half minutes long, maximum. 2. It was something kids could learn on guitar and sing along to. 3. It was arranged as pop song and not so "Rock N' Roll". Not their best song by miles but the most accessible, right up there with "Don't look back in Anger".

Noel is so clever, yet didn't get the joke. Kurt was mocking the press who had defined him by those descriptions. "Sometimes I think the press WANT me to die, because it would be the classic rock and roll story..." There was never a drop of irony in Oasis, one of the things that set both bands apart.

To be honest Liam looked a bit like yeah right shut up noel we don't need you anywya I can sing without you. Actually noel was key to making Oasis work he had great backing vocals as well as writing amaxing songs. If noel wanted to he could of gone solo copy write all the song she ever wrote and Liam and the rest of band woild of been forced to write new stuff.

Let's be real. Kurt Cobain was mentally unstable & wanted to die. The Gallagher brothers are also mentally unstable BUT they WANT TO LIVE FOREVER. It's about perspective. There are more Oasis songs that you can sing at the top of your head compared to Nirvana songs. I'd rather be an optimist than Kurt Cobain! Depression is an illness; so is hope and faith.

By "lost the plot", he likely had anxiety & depression and was trying to cope with it using drugs & booze; it's crazy looking back to these old eras that people didn't understand mental health at all - but in fairness, all of us 40/50-year-olds weren't taught about it as kids, in the 90s/00s mental health "didn't exist" i.e. we just didn't talk about it. I can't imagine the number of suicides; again, it was never reported; we all just pretended it didn't exist. He was Oasis in a way; they never got better than his era, and it was downhill from there!

Tony McCarroll must think to himself why the band liked the very boring and London boy Alan White over him. Who was a proper Northerner who had something about him. I know Tony’s drumming wasn’t as good but the band seemed to really dislike him on a personal level. Especially Noel.
