thank you for the review mate. I am between this one and the Aqua Medic Platinum Line Plus. Not sure what would be best, both are more or less on the same price range. after 1 year, are you still using this unit? how often do you change the filters? and sorry last question, could you plug it directly to the tap water when using it and then put it away? sorry for all the questions, thanks a lot for the help mate :) cheers
@marinereefs2 жыл бұрын
Hi yes still using it and it still works great. It’s very easy to use. I have mainly changed number 5 I’ve changed about four of them but I will replace all filters just to refresh it soon. If you have a spare outlet under your sink you can always attach it to that it would be very easy to do. 👍👍
@leonelsarmiento72 жыл бұрын
@@marinereefs thanks a lot for the reply, highly appreciate it. Unfortunately I the flat where I live I don’t spare outlets. Is it possible to connect it directly to the tap? My idea would be to connect it to the regular tap, get the quantity of water I need and the store away until I need it again. Is it possible to connect it directly to the regular tap? That would be great

@@marinereefs thank you so much for your kind reply :) could I kindly ask you a last question, at what level did you set up in your glamorca the TDS light/signal? Do you have it always in zero and when it comes you then change the filters? Or how does that TDS light works and what do you do when the light is on? A million thanks :) cheers
@marinereefs2 жыл бұрын
Hi I’m not sure you can but I could be possible I sometimes just disconnect my washing machine then put this on the outlet then switch back once I’ve got what I need.
@marinereefs2 жыл бұрын
When mine shows as anything but zero the light shows which needs changing so then I just replace that filter. 👍👍
Just got mine today! It's already making my water in my mixing room. I think it's brilliant! I have checked the water with a test kit and it's definitely removing everything from UK water. Its the best water I have ever made. For the comments saying its slow.. its not that slow. Once it's auto flushed and running you can do 25ltrs in an hour and a half. Which I think is fine. If you need anymore than that set up a mixing station and have a float on the end to turn it off when it fills up then you can just leave it running :) thanks for the video! It helped me decide on getting one ;)

Hi, so I have another question as I have just purchased one of these, that fitting that you can use on an outside tap well I have an adaptor on my kitchen tap and it fits that screw on fitting that comes with the machine (you mention it in the video as an outside adaptor), I'm only using this once a week for roughly 75ltrs can I not just sit this on my worktop and use the flow of my tap to control the pressure then unscrew it and store it for use the next week??, really sorry to bother you again but my TDS+GH+KH is sky high and if i can get away without using a £70 an hour plumber it makes sense...what do you think??, again sorry to bother you, Michael:)
@marinereefs3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate yes put it in your kitchen. I litterally just screw the adaptor to the outlets under my sink every time I use it and store it under the sink anyway. 👍👍

Hi mate thanks for that. 👍👍 If you are wanting really pure 0 TDS water then yes it will work just fine. I’m not familiar with keeping freshwater shrimp but this makes the water really pure so I can’t see there would be any issue with using one of these at all.

Why have you got your return pump on a pulse mode? From what I understand mode 3 is a slow pulse mode
@marinereefs3 жыл бұрын
The ocean waves go everywhere so I just use that as it’s more natural I guess but everyone to their own preference
@skeptics_reef55753 жыл бұрын
@@marinereefs fair enough, but for a return pump this will mean your sump level will not remain consistent, which isn't really what you want, for flow yes, but for a return pump you don't want this pulsing, especially if you have top up sensors etc in the return section,
@marinereefs3 жыл бұрын
I’ve got quite a large sump on this tank so I always have a high level of water in there but lower the sensor to the furthest drop in pulse. So it’s always still doing the same constant job as it normally would. I’ve got four random flow generators on this tank which is overkill but when it pulses it makes theatre flow everywhere from these so does make quite a difference.
@marinereefs3 жыл бұрын
Mode 2 is pulse mode not 3 I was unsure what mine was on but mine is set at mode 3 and level 20. You can feel the pulsing on mode 2 when you hold the pipes connected to the return.
@skeptics_reef55753 жыл бұрын
@@marinereefs mode 3 is also a pulse, but a slower, sine wave type pulse. It's in the manual. 1- constant speed 2- pulsing mode 1 3- pulsing mode 2 👍

Few points 1. 30 days quarantine is nowhere near long enough 2. You don't seem to have any worming treatment 3. Wrasse should be given a takeaway tub of sand or you will stress them 4. What effective treatment have you got ready for fish sensitive to copper? 5. Having prime on hand for any ammonia spike is also recommended
