Ogni interpretazione riflette una profonda comprensione dei pezzi e un'abilità tecnica impeccabile, testimoniando un'arte pianistica di raro livello. Queste performance sono, senza dubbio, esempi luminosi di come la musica possa essere trasformata in pura poesia.

It simply enables catastrophic failure's, worst (necessary catastrophic failures), by slowly, hastenly and suddenly building up to it.

One of the best versions ever! Maestro Arrau never disappoints and at 33:00 he’s the only one I’ve ever heard so far who played the 1st version and it’s so much more interesting even if it’s just a few bars! This encourages me to perform the 1st version as well. My most favorite version is by Radu Lupu, but this is definitely a top3 recording alongside Richter’s version!
