Fucking phenomenal. Exactly what I needed to know what I need to look for to fix my blade

Should pick one tooth and mark with a marker, then spin it to get proper alignment.

Thanks! Not sure if the 36 725 T2 Delta is the same, but I’m going to find out! I need this perfect for what I do.

I have the same problem with my 9-days-old saw. Should fix it ASAP.

I’ve loosened those screws and nothing moves… help?!

I've given up trying to explain that there isn't actually any adjustment for this part of this saw; these are all cast parts held in a singular position and all these people are doing is stressing stuff that will either eventually crack or self-correct. Wish you all the best and hope things don't catastrophically fail at full load. That'd be quite a day.

I stopped listening when you called that post a piston.

This is not the way to adjust this saw. There are trunnions, one in front & one in back. Each one has 4 flat head T40 bolts that hold them to the top. There are cast iron locators for each trunnion. These locators are on the left side of each trunnion from the front of the saw. Find out what the distance is for adjustment in one thousands then apply this between the locator and trunnion. Remember the trunnions are what hold the motor and blade up. So it is best to only loosen the T40 bolts for the adjustment. I like to retighten one bolt after the adjustment and then add a little bit of blue lock tight to the bolts as I reinstall them. Hope this helps

I believe you are correct with your comment. I just got one of these saws and this video is showing how it’s fastened to the raise/lower rails. If there was only 1 rail then I’d understand then that it would pivot to adjust alignment. But since there are 2 rails then this seems incorrect. I saw the 8 torx screws when I was looking last night. I’m off to buy a torx socket today. I’m only off about 6 thou of and inch so i just need to bump it ever so slightly.

Further comments here. After loosening the 8 bolts I was unable to move the alignment. So I tried loosening the screws as suggested by the video and I was then able to move the alignment. So I was wrong in my assumption that your comment was correct. It may be a way to adjust it. I just was unable to make an adjustment that way.

Yes, this adjustment is critical. Delta service sent me a nice set of illustrated instructions how to do this. One I completed this adjustment it has not moved over the last two years. This is a really good saw although not perfect. Any home wood worker will get great service from this saw. I also would like to add the OME blade is good and should hold up for a long time but if you want to change it do not use a thin kerf blade or any blade less than 0.100” due to the thickness of the riving knife. I chose a standard full kerf blade and it works well.

A lot of advice about aligning the blade suggests you should pick one tooth, mark it with a sharpie, Measure the distance from the slot, rotate the blade 180° and then take a second measurement off the same tooth on the other side of the axis rotation. This will help avoid any differences from one blade tooth do any other because you’re measuring the same one. The wood whisperer calls it the lucky tooth.

Using the same tooth is a very good tip. Thank you for that!

Thank you for this!

Doing what you did did nothing. The shafts are vertical guides. Further up under the table are torx flat head bolts. Loosen those to move the blade and motor assembly. DO NOT REMOVE or the whole assembly will drop. It is a pain in the ass.
