Peter began to sink in the water when he took his focus off of Jesus. Matthew 14:30-33 But while Peter was walking on the water, he saw the wind and the waves. He was afraid and began sinking into the water. He shouted, “Lord, save me!” Then Jesus caught Peter with his hand. He said, “Your faith is small

LYRICS BELOW - Brilliantly sung Michael ! I watch the sunrise lighting the sky, Casting its shadows near. And on this morning bright though it be, I feel the shadows near me. But you are always close to me Following all my ways. May I be always close to you Following all your ways, Lord. I watch the sunlight shine through the clouds, Warming the earth below. And at the mid-day, life seems to say: I feel your brightness near me. For you are always close to me Following all my ways. May I be always close to you Following all your ways, Lord. I watch the sunset fading away, Lighting the clouds with sleep. And as the evening closes its eyes, I feel your presence near me. For you are always close to me Following all my ways. May I be always close to you Following all your ways, Lord. _______________________________________________ Additional verse I watch the moonlight guarding the night, Waiting till morning comes. The air is silent, earth is at rest Only your peace is near me. For you are always close to me Following all my ways. May I be always close to you Following all your ways, Lord.

Far above, enthroned in glory, Sweetest Saint of Erin’s Isle. See thy children kneel before thee, Turn on us a mothers smile. Sancta Mater, hear our pleading, Faith and hope and holy love. Sweet Saint Brigid, Spouse of Jesus, Sent to us from heaven above. Sweet Saint Brigid, all thy children, Far and near, o’er land and sea. ‘Mid the world and in the cloister Fondly turn with love to thee. Sancta Mater, soothe the mourner, Shield the weary tempted soul, Sweet Saint Brigid, guide thy children, To that bright and happy home.

barren desert but you shall not die of thirst you shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand You shall see the face of God and live Antiphon: Be not afraid I go before you always Come follow me And I will give you rest If you pass through raging waters in he sea you shall not drown If you walk amid the buring flames you shall not be harmed If you stand before the power of hell and death is at your side know that I am with you throught it all Blessed are your poor for the kingdom shall be theirs Blest are you that weep and mourn for one day you shall laugh And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of me blessed, blessed are you!

Adiuva Me" (Come to Me) is a traditional Irish hymn taken from ancient monastic manuscripts, dating from around 1086 A.D. It is written in a style that was popular in Western Europe during the Mediaeval period, called "macaronics". Macaronics are poems composed in alternating lines and phrases using two different languages, one of them usually Latin. In this case the second is Old or Middle Irish Gaelic. Though the author is unknown it is commonly attributed to the Irish cleric Maol Iosa O Brolchain, a renowned Irish poet during the 11th century. His name, sometimes spelled Mael Isu, means "follower of Jesus" in Gaelic.

A cousin Muireann Ní Brolcháin (died in 2015) was a specialist in Old and Medieval Irish, who wrote a critical edition of 12 poems attributed to Maol íosa's ( ie. Maol íosa Ó Brolcháin. An Sagart Maigh Nuad 1986). Deus Meus was among the 8 poems of which she was certain Maol Íósa was the author. I am not aware that this view has been questioned. She published a summary of her assessment in Seanchas Ard Mhaca Journal of the Armagh Diocesan Historical Society Vol 12. No. 1 1986 p43-67. She also used the same material in the 1986 Annual Colmcille lecture in Derry, the text of which was published in the Donegal Annual 1986 No. 38 p. 2-19.
