This is a perfect video! Showing every single thing, what ya'll should NOT do. I'm sorry, you're treating your nails and skin around them horrible. Please stay away from any files, buffing, products except of oils and creams. Give your nails a long break. You damaged them so much, you'll need six months minimum. Stop hurt yourself.

These nails need to be allowed to grow out! Hot oil soaks once or twice a week, nail oil after every hand washing, hand lotion, kerasol ointment rubbed in at bedtime, and push back cuticle skin every other day or so. Stop cutting and filing stuff!

I completely understand. I’m still in a flare up. I think the heat and sun this Summer kept everything wound up. It’s a mess ain’t it? You know what I’m really enjoying lately is Madam Glam’s Fiberglass base. It allows me to barely buff my already thin nails and it helps keep them strong while I’m wearing it. I’m allergic to most products but I have had any issues with this one. It’s only avlb in 2 shades and a clear but I’m hopeful they’ll come out with more options.

@rebeccaruffner61353 ай бұрын
This video shows exactly how you should not treat such destroyed nails . It was physically painful to watch. I only did so because I thought it was a joke!! Just do the opposite of what they said. Nail plates don’t heal . They are dead protein . No fix . Just damage control . Just don’t keep drilling. Just keep constantly applying oils, and a wooden stick to gently push back and remove any cuticle that will accumulate. It’s not rocket science, it’s just common sense, which is not heralded these days . Just chill out on the nails . Isn’t natural, on every level , the trend 🤗🎉??
@ToshaRaeNailed3 ай бұрын
Yes. This was a learning process. That’s why I thought it so important to share.
@rebeccaruffner61353 ай бұрын
@@ToshaRaeNailed I understand that. But did you really do research ? There are many other natural nail techs that say what I said . And the fundamental reason for roughing up the nail plate is to make rough spots so product will adhere. Doing such with an E file is the worst way to clean the nails. I don’t believe ANYBODY can control the machine to the finite results trying to be achieved . Ego kills everything , and nobody is perfect. If it’s smooth , the product with come off , taking many more layers off , and thereby defeating your purpose . Give me one shop nail chop and they always no best . Best how to blow your dough and be damaged . Truth should prevail . ✌🏻💙 Slather your hands and nails with oil , put on a pair of latex gloves , and put a heating pad on your hands for 5 to 10 minutes and you have a very effective nail treatment so they stay pliable, so they won’t split and tear off . Ouch 🤕. I mean no shame , just add a part 2 , saying how what you did wasn’t the best idea. It’s a long , painful journey, growing out of the nail plate , I wish you the best . ✨

All I can tell you is, this damage was done while I was in nail school. I was enjoying trying different products and practicing on myself. I learned a lot from my mistakes and I shared my experience along the way (and still do.) I’m not a liar. I’m not trying to impress anyone, I don’t pretend to know it all or be the expert. I share my journey. I research matters that interest me share what I’m learning on here and direct folks to the source I got my info from. I’m not looking to be a “natural nail” expert or specialist. However I do believe in taking the best care of your nails that you can. No debating that issue here. If you enjoy my content I would love to have you along for the ride. If it’s too upsetting, frustrating or not interesting to you, I get that too. ❤
@rebeccaruffner61353 ай бұрын
@@ToshaRaeNailed Well if this is how your school works , ok . My cosmetology school , I wouldn’t let people practice on me because I didn’t want to be botched . It’s your life girl . Do you . But I still think you were misleading your viewers because you made it clear this was a smart and safe way to preserve your horribly damaged nails . People in comments were saying thanks , I’ll try the same . Never mind . If your viewers are that gullible, that’s peoples gig . But I’m too old to put up with such pandering and brown nosing content creators for likes and comments . If this is what your school condones , then good luck at your at Walmart Salon , cuz they aren’t preparing you for the real world . 🌎 I’m off . This whole genre is too sickening for me .

@@rebeccaruffner6135not misleading anyone. This is a safe way to protect your natural nails. I’m filing product not my nail bed. Judge if you wish. You’re not the first and won’t be the last. Again I’m not here seeking anyone’s approval. I’m sharing my experiences and knowledge.

@@ToshaRaeNailedthe shape, the short almond/stiletto is a shape that you shouldn’t be allowing cause you have to file down the sides of the nails and the nails without the sides are weaker and more flexible, and that is not good. And it also looks so bad, not only yours, this shape in general.

I have a Modelones top coat and i don't like it because the application is not smooth. It kept doing tiny holes after i applied it. I didnt even shook the bottle. Maybe i got a dudd, maybe its old, at least 3 years old but just openned it for 1st time the other day. 😢

For the over filling I would say for the cuticle clean up you need to use a smaller bit. Cuticle clean up bits come alot smaller than that. Try to turn the angle of your nails so that the bit only gets the cuticle. The bit that your using and the angle that you have your nails is causing you to over file close to the cuticle area. Also, don't use acetone or alcohol. Don't use poly gel, gel or anything that will require acetone to take off. Switch to regular polish only. You can use Soy polish remover to remove regular polish. It takes alot longer to remove the regular polish with soy polish remover but it doesn't dry out your nails and it doesn't dry out your skin. It hydrates and treats your nails and skin while removing the regular polish.

I just placed my first order for Korean gels! I’m so excited! My job eats every top coat I’ve tried. I ordered the regular and thick crazy top! Hopefully those work… it’s hard to see in a video. Was hoping you’d discuss a little more
@ToshaRaeNailed3 ай бұрын
I definitely can. I’m gonna be making another one of these types of videos very soon. I just have to collect a few more tops. When I cover that one I’ll discuss further. Before making this video my favorites to use on myself were NCE, ManiQ top, Modelones and Madam Glam. Those just feel really nice to me, very glossy glass like finish. Next time I’ll also add in the prices too. That makes a difference. Keep me posted on the Korean gels you try!
