Looks like a great area to fly. I'm from ND and I'm thinking about getting into this. However as a farmer, when the weather is flyable I'm stupid busy with work. And as you can probably imagine I wouldn't be doing much flying over the winter whwn it's -10 lol.

I’d love to see how you mounted camera and ran wire out the van
@jamesbialczak
@jamesbialczak 16 күн бұрын
My ceiling wasn't in yet so running the wire to the rear was pretty easy. Above the rear doors was a plastic housing with a rear camera in it for the backup system. I took it off carefully and fed the Wolfbox wire through the same hole and into the housing. I then mounted the camera to the same housing just underneath the factory one. So the factory one activates when in reverse and is displayed on my dash, and the other camera is on anytime the Wolfbox is on and displayed on my rearview mirror. Hope that makes sense.

Hey bro. Great video. I hardwired it. Quick question. When I put the car into P and take the keys out. My screen remains on. Is there anyway for the screen to turn off automatically after I take the keys out? I don't want to use the screensaver bc I was hoping the screen would auto turn off after I turn the car off.
@jamesbialczak
@jamesbialczak 6 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video. I hardwired mine off a rocker switch so I have to manually turn it on and off. I did that because there are times when I may be parked that I would want the cameras recording. If you don't need that, then you will want to run your power wire off one of the remote turn on circuits from your fuse box.
@Abir-Kl
@Abir-Kl 6 ай бұрын
@@jamesbialczak doesn't that drain your car battery?
@jamesbialczak
@jamesbialczak 6 ай бұрын
@@Abir-Kl It can, yes. It's a very low draw though so it would take a long time. Keeping it on while your off on a hike or something for short stints isn't a problem. It also has an automatic shutoff built in that will turn itself off if the battery voltage hits a preset number so it doesn't leave you stranded.

great video...Im just starting to install lightbars..Id light to tie my lightbar into my highbeam switch...is this possible, any specs? thnx
@jamesbialczak
@jamesbialczak 15 күн бұрын
Im not sure how exactly you would do that, but it is possible. I believe the High beams are on a relay so instead of wiring a relay from the light bar to your battery, you would take the two wires to the relay for the high beams. Im not 100% sure on that, but I think thats how it would go.
